Why did you then and dubs now have faith in the divine appointment?

I asked a dub this question, and have heard similar things in the past. If I asked a dub why they believe in the divine appointment of the watchtower as Jehovah's one and only organization I think they would answer in the following way.

1. Because of the success of the org, and all the info they put out, and the preaching work. It has to be divinely directed, there is no other explanation.

2. Because of how well what the org teaches matches up with the Bible.

3. There has to be one true religion! If it is not the jw, then who is it? Nobody even comes close to showing the traits we should look for in Jehovah's one true organization.

4. Because the jw is the only religion that preaches the good news of the kingdom, which is a real government.

Any others?

Because my grandma said it was, and she was of the anointed.

It was just a case of being naive, when I realised that their spiritual nature was just a thin deceptive cover I rejected the divine connection. For a long time I didn't even know they claimed this grandiose status.

I believed they were- cos they told me they were!!!! I was a sheep- I followed... simple as that.

They'll also claim that they are the only ones promoting the Divine Name, as if that is something REALLY important, when it is only an advertising slogan they created.

I had a little check list when I had doubts

1 Are we created or not --------------Yes

2 Is God the God of the bible .........Yes

3 Is he Jehovah------------Yes

4 Who today worships Jehovah------------The witness`s

5 Who else teaches about Jehovah--------No one----------Bingo...um they must be the only true religion

For me it was rather the preaching work that seemed so impressive since I thought (wrongly) no other religion engaged in it, and what the dubs preached was sound biblically. The harvest was great and the workers were few.
