Catholic Church "joins UN" as an N.G.O., and it proves they are the harlot riding the wild beast. Also, no JW can use the gym facilites at the YMCA, because that is supporting false religion. There is not good reason to support false religion!!! Ever!!!

Compared to:

WTS "joins UN" as an N.G.O., and (after initial denials) is defended by JWs with well, they must have had a good reason! Yeah, they had to use the Wild Beast's library! What is possibly wrong with that?

Tell your adult child that they are obliged to “honor” you, but refuse to attend their wedding because they picked a “worldly” dude. Your neighbor hears of your father’s declining health and drives you to the hospital and sends over a casserole. Your neighbor tells you his father’s health is declining so you deliver presentation number three about the declining state of the world and the hope of paradise. You send over a magazine. A lonely senior on a limited pension needs your magazines more than a meal, errands done, or fifteen minutes of your undivided attention. You leave a magazine and tell her that her absent children are responsible for “material” needs.
You are now the lonely senior. You are not talking to any of your DF’d children. Your lone elder-child, the only one whose photo graces your mantel, has no time for you. You grudgingly accept the offers to cut your grass and the casseroles from your neighbour’s kids. You give them a magazine and tell them their life would be much better if they had the “truth”.

This was so inspired, thank you. I want to print this as big as a movie poster and place it around town. Self centered little preaching machines! Led of course by those pillars of compassion, the Body of Elders.

The congrgation is admonished not to gossip about people in the congregation. But if you're an elder, it's ok.

Minimus - I think there is a more accurate caveat here.

You can be disfellowshipped for gossip and slander, but the body of elders uses the congregation slander-line to make sure that 'apostates' or other evil influences are silenced until they have Brooklyn's ok to put us to death by disfellowshipping.

Witnesses make sure not to overdrink in front of any "newly interested ones" or "worldlings" who know they are dubs but get trashed out of their minds on camping trips and other places where they know they won't get called on it.
