well we had about 1600, and the hall holds maybe 2000. We were sitting maybe 6 rows back from the stage, (mom thinks to pay attention- richie thinks to take pictures). Everyone who sat up there had parts, and were out of their seats a lot.

Now What?
oh that makes sense. I have noticed a steady decline in attendance here in the Midwest. Was just curious if it was widespread or just my area.
However, I plan on adding to the empty seat count soon

Ritchie you are so brave, going to a SAD.
New light at the Seasonal Affective Disorder day - very appropriate!

Due to low batteries, I only got the real "money shots". None of me (although I looked damn good!) so condolences to damselfly.
*sigh*

OMG Richie, isn't that in Salisbury, NC? That is where I got baptised, right in that pool.

Oh. Never heard of it.
RR, the bros did the same thing to me when I was dunked. The guy shoved me under the water without any notice. I kicked up my leg and came up coughing. He did it again and the same thing happened. I was telling the guy off--why can't you tell me when you're gonna do it......... There were baptism judges standing by observing and they said the first 2 didn't count because I wasn't under all the way. 3rd time it worked. I really don't know what the big deal is if it's symbolic anyway.
So you had to be dunked to please your mom? How awful. Did you say the vows out loud & everything? (I didn't. Just moved my lips.)

richie...i am 6' 3...and i had to baptize someone who was taller than me
the local kingdom hall in greenock (we had our sads in a town hall...no assembly hall for scotland).had a baptism pool built in...i say pool..it would be a cube about 6 x 6 x 6 ...and a mirror placed so that viewers could see 'down' into the pool...i had to baptise the guy diagonally across the pool..and a loud gasp went up as i did it cos everyone thought i had bashed his head on the side....and his toe came up..but they werent for risking doing it again
