What do YOU perceive the gospel to be?

  I read greendawns' thread on 'would accepting the gospel make the world a better place'.

  So my question to you is simply - what is the gospel to you? That is if you even believe in the gospel & God.

  It seems to me SOME have not read LouBells question very well. She wants to know WHAT the gospel of the bible is.....not you think gospel means apart from the bible.

  From a biblical perspective, the gospel is Jesus.....period. Belief and faith in him gives one eternal salvation in perfection.His government wasn't the big issue.....his death for the salvation of sinners who would believe in him was the gospel.

  Tetra. to your comment I ask why??? I believe God exists for my own personal & very real expereinces - therefore how would one prove to me he doesn't exist???

  loubelle, that's pretty simple. just replace "God" with something else and you'll understand.
  
  i believe in our Lady Invisible Pink Unicorn (peace be on her hoofes). i believe She is pink. i know She is invisible, because noone has ever seen Her. but i know She's there. you can't prove She's not there, can you? there's even evidence for Her existence. sometimes She appears in washing machines, you know She was there when your white underwear comes out all pink.

  google - find something worthy of replacing God and I might think about it.

  Besides if you've seen a pink unicorn in your washing machine and she's left proof then who am I to deny her lady Invisible Pink unicorn. Though your unicorn just doesn't stir up the same feeling in me as it does for you

  hmmm... what do you mean by "worthy"? our Lady IPU IS God, the creator. i hope you don't discriminate my religious feelings.
  
  and no, i haven't seen Her, noone can see Her, as She's invisible. but there's evidence that she sometimes leaves a sign of Her Pinkness in washing machines. true believers also sometimes experience the loss of socks, which is a sign of future benedictions.

  oh so now the IPU is a God. I don't care what god looks like. At least we both agree he/she is invisible.
