I don't necessarily classify them as "jw traits" more like moral traits.
I consider myself honest, trustworthy, try to be a good person rather than follow rules imposed by others.
Although what I listed might be the rule for JWs, they are by no means always practised.
Thom - like you whenever I hear something bad on the news my first reaction is always "The end is near", I have to give myself a little shake to start thinking rationally again.
I think the only thing I've carried with me is the name Jehovah - though I've come to understand that there are so many variations of that name. Since I still believe in the Judo/christian god I use that name amongst jesus/lord of the spirits....blah blah blah.
Oh and on occassion when I pop into a church - I feel strange if I'm wearing jeans...feel that i need to wear a 'modest' skirt and top.
Just came across another one yesterday afternoon. I was talking to my sister on the phone and told her I don't consider myself a JW anymore (forget why this came up, but it did....fine...lalalala). She goes to some sort of gigantic Texas church. I'm not sure what denomination, maybe Baptist (safe bet, huh?) First thing she asks is what I'm doing now (for worship). I say nothing because I'm not sure where I'm at with the whole God thing any more. She directs me to some website with Bible studies on it run by a woman (who's name completely escapes me at the moment). Immediately this sense of...I don't know what...distaste? disgust?, okay, not disgust...that's too strong...arises. I'm completely turned off because it's a woman preacher.
This is totally a JW thing. Before I was a dub I had NO problem with women ministers. I have more work to do. LOL
It's not something i can put my finger on but certain things will come up and i will catch myself thinking like i was still in the cult, then i have to reason with myself why i am thinking that certain way and then i know to do the opposite.

Whyamihere - Many will think that your post about the short skirt and panties was just a humourous stab at the WTS but I saw straight through it and saw the irony right there in front of my eyes....I too still have those same traits...oops TMI !!
Ellie - Seriously I think everyone still has those flashbacks which is again evidence of how heavily indoctrinated we all were...these will wear off in time and will become less and less frequent...my last flashback was last night but its been the first one in 3 months, you, me, we all will get there in time.
