This misguided archaic approach to pedophilia as a moral lapse is wrong-headed. The JW judicial process is just not equipped to deal with this complex illness that needs professional attention.
Come to think of it, that is the formula JWs resort to in every life situation that seems difficult. Much more is needed.
How true....from a perceived lack of spirituality to depression, seems those are the pat answers given to solve the problem. I recently had a discussion with a CO about family counseling. Those were the three questions asked. Although he did not directly discourage it, he suggested that I do examine those three areas first to see if I was doing all I SHOULD be doing.

Bill, great effort, great work.The child molesting touched my family too but the family member involved unfortunately does not seem to want to pursue anything though she lives in C.A. where they recently amended the law so you can go after a molester from even years back.

What will the Society's strategy be? It will be to tell the world what wonderful people they are and what a spiritual paradise they live in. After all, that is what is printed in a magazine that has a circulation of 23,000,000 +. Is it not? It is therefore true--take a look at the latest magazine.
They are happy people, with happy elders, who look out for the elderly, visit the sick in nursing homes, who give counsel kindlily* and unstintingly. How can you prove that? All you have to do is read The Watchtower.
They will have many, many copies to spare, including Awake! magazine on the fine work done by the U.N.

My dub girlfriend was having computer troubles today, so I went to help her. While I was there, I pulled up this thread, and opened the silentlambs web site. I printed out the entire 11 pages, and handed it to her. That's as blatant as I have ever been with her, and anything we believe now. She was appalled. As it was printing, I read parts of it to her, and she was getting more and more ill. When I had to leave, she was sitting on her couch, reading the whole thing, and planning to pass it on to her son.
