All my babies were vaginal births:

Baby #1: Girl. 8lbs 2oz. 381/2 weeks. 8 hours labour. Went into labour naturally - good delivery. Will be 18 in December.

Baby #2: Girl. 7lbs 6oz. 41 weeks. 1.5 hours from the time I realized it was labour until the baby was born. Went into labour naturally. Delivered quickly. Will be 17 in January.

Baby #3: Girl. 8lbs 4oz. 40 weeks. Apx 10 - 12 hours labour. Induced with the prostaglandin gel - okay labour/delivery slow - cord around her neck 3 times. Will be 15 on Valentines Day.

Baby #4: Boy. 7lbs 6oz. 39 weeks. Apx. 10 - 12 hours labour. Induced with the prostaglandin gel - okay labour/delivered in 1 push. Is 13.

Baby #5: Girl. 7lbs 6oz. 36 weeks. 12 hours labour. Induced with Oxytocin (Pintocin) - absolutely horrible labour/again delivered in 1 push. Will be 12 in November.

Baby #6: Boy. 6lbs 1oz. 36 weeks. 12 hours labour. Induced with Oxytocin again - another ablsolutely horrible labour/again delivered in 1 push. Will be 8 on Tuesday the 20th.

Ahh, labor and delivery...Good Times! LoL!

Both of my children were vaginal births.

1st Boy 8 lbs, 9 oz -----water broke at home and labor started. No drugs until I hit 16 hours of HARD labor, then I had an epidural, THANK YOU JESUS, and after 5 1/2 more hours he was born. That was one of the most difficult things I have ever done in my life. But boy was it worth it! He is 13 now.

2nd Boy, 9lbs, 11.5 oz ----Went into labor with the plan of having an epidural when the pain reached a certain level. But 4 hours later, when I felt the time had come for the epidural, there was no time...the baby was on the way and I was ready to push. Easy, smooth, beautiful delivery in about 6 hours start to finish. This baby is 8 years old now.

Nine days ago, lol, it was a vaginal birth for my son. I had an epidural but was already quite dialated when I went to the hospital, so I still felt everything. My labor wasn't really that bad 7 hours and 45 minutes. I wasn't sure when I first went into labor that I was having contractions since I had been having lower back and hip pain whenever I would lay down for 2 weeks before I delivered. My son was trying to come out my right hip instead of the birth canal. That was pretty painful.He starightened up though and then it went ok. The really awful part was that the placenta had to be taken out by the doc and his hand. That was just about as bad as the delivery. All in all, it made me that he's going to be an only child for awhile.

Oh go on! The sex is the fun part.

I was born by C-Section and the only side effect is that every time I leave the house I go out the window.

We've had one of each.

I think the C-Section was less tiring because I got a seat

People asked after I had Amy if it was a natural birth (meaning did I have an epidural) and my swift reply was "not by choice". I wanted one but due to Amy's eagerness to appear,(about 5 hrs total labour and pushing time) I was having her "naturally". There was no tearing or stitches (probably because the nurse delivered her not the doctor) and my recovery was actually pretty quick. (trust me, I count my blessings on my birthing experience, I have heard too many horror stories) Congrats to all the new mommies!! Dottie
