A few years after the Revelation Climax! book was released, a group of people from the Children of God (The Family) were at my local shopping mall passing out posters and the one I got is the image below:

On the back is text, which you can read at: http://www.thefamily.org/products/posters.php3?selid=26. Anyway, it was the most cult-like thing I have ever read. Here's an excerpt: "When the Golden Age dawned upon the Earth, the people of the Space King from the new Space City Planet all found themselves thrust into very important positions of leadership and great responsibility! .... When the cruel One-World Government of the World dictator, known as the Beast, rose to power, both Juan and Rosa continued telling others about their King and His soon-to-come Kingdom! Despite the Beast's order that anyone who preached such things should be killed, they boldly defied his forces and delivered tens of thousands of people out of his clutches by giving them the Space King's Words and warnings against the Beast and leading them to believe in and love their Space King!"

Here is just the sort of thing found in the Revelation Climax! book....interpreting your own organization's history as a "fulfillment" of prophecy from Revelation, using group-internal jargon and bizarre concepts. The artwork, tho not as polished as found in the WTS book, is also reminiscent in some ways....

This has become more and more obvious to me as I read through " Crisis of Consience" It's unreal to see the change in teachings over the years. When you compare the BORG's reasons for changing key dates and important issues through the years, there are all the same. Well, some brothers might have thought blah, blah, blah but thats not our fault because we said we were not sure. And yes we might have suggested that blah, blah, blah, might happen by blah, blah but a few brother read to much into it. Now we really have the true understand because we held the bible upside down and read while being under the influence of extra good dose of holy spirit. So now we can say with for sure that blah, blah, blah is going to happen by blah, blah. (see footnote) Footnote * Brothers and sister should not read to much into this, even though we are e ncouraging you do so and we are now postive blah, blah, blah is going to happen soon. We dont encourage the use of a certain date, even though we are all sure that blah, blah, blah is going to happen no later than blah, blah. We know this to be true, because we have deeply research the issuse and re-written our publications to match our new teachings, ummm we mean our understanding of this issue is now a new light.*

As many have mentioned already they'll do it slowly, first by introducing new light in The Watchtower. Then, they'll remove the book from the libraries in local congregations and change the actual wording of the printed material on the updated CDrom releases. Eventually they'll exclude the book entirely from any CDroms, thus effectively erasing the memory of it entirely from the consciousness of the rank and file.

They will re-write them for a new book called "The Idiot's Guide to Bullsh**"

LMAO@claytoncapeletti --- At what point do they realize they are idiots ? I thought I did read some posts that showed the WTBTS saying things like they had to acknowledge the UN as a ruling authority put there by God as discussed by the apostle Paul . It makes perfect sense to me that they went to the devil to seek refuge .

What do you do with an appliance that breaks down just when the guarantee has past? Repairs are sometimes too expensive, so throw it out and purchase a new appliance. It's called built-in redundancy.

Perhaps the Watchtower should print a use-by message on the inside cover:

"If predictions in this book have not come to pass by 2014, please disregard them

and purchase the latest book on this topic."
