The WTBS already covered itself with the Revelation book. Chapter 2 page nine contains a box at the top of the page titled "Interpreting the Scriptures". Within this box the Society states, "It is not claimed that the explanations in this publication are infallible." They are leaving them selves a door by which they can escape the lies that they present as truth. They dont claim that this printed publication is "infallible" however they have no reservation of casting one out of thier orginization if they disagree with any of the "truth" published within it's bindings. To think that I spent many hours studing this publication. If only I would have studied my school work with the same dilligence.

Darth Yhwh --- I just had to look at that again after you posted it . They pull the old , Do not interpretations belong to God ?, ploy there . If that is true then it's obvious with the WTBTS track record that they are not speaking for God . I always thought it strange how whenever there was "new light" , that they would claim spirit direction and then whenever they are proven false it was always the imperfect humans escape goat . No wonder most of the dub men I've known are bald , they must pull the hair out of their head in frustration ........................

I doubt most of them even realize they're outdated.

I think the org is in "HOLD OUT FOR ARMAGEDDON" mode.
They have done this at several points in their history. They wait until just before some dumb event was supposed to occur. They start to hedge their bets. Then they change.
They know much of their doctrine is bunk.
They are hoping the world goes to hell soon so they don't have to fix it all. I think the war on terror, the recent tsunami, and now the leveling of New Orleans have all given them cause for hope.
Methinks if Jesus does really return soon, the org will have some 'splainin to do.

That's what they've been doing for over a hundred years. Why stop now?
exactly!
BTW a most interesting point about the Children of God, Leo. Thanks.
