The thread bout the gazing ball and the wind chimes got me thinking. It was new to me that wind chime's are not allowed as a JW coz of the demonic overtone.
But then so is the bridal veil......some believe back then that it was used to hide the face of the bride from demons...you would have thought they had stumbled across that one and omitted that from JW weddings. I mean here its even frowned upon to cut the bloody wedding cake together!!!!

And of course throwing the bouquet and the garter toss are forbidden as well as heaven forbid you should toast the bride and goom!

Aren't wedding ceremonies pagan or governmental, or something? Just skip the wedding, i say. Be no part of the world, heh heh. Just parade her through the streets, then live together like they did in the ot. Sometimes they didn't even do the parade.

Not only the veil was used to distract the demons but bridesmaids also had that job. That is why they dressed in their finery - to hopefully trick the demons into choosing them instead of the bride.
Yup nothing like sacrificing some young virgin so they demons could have a go at her. Andyet the custom is allowed at JW weddings.
