Probably behind my back, Min, but they forget......

    From a Distance
    ~ Bette Midler
From a distance the world looks blue and green,
    and the snow-capped mountains white.
From a distance the ocean meets the stream,
and the eagle takes to flight.

From a distance, there is harmony,
and it echoes through the land.
It's the voice of hope, it's the voice of peace,
it's the voice of every man.

From a distance we all have enough,
and no one is in need.
And there are no guns, no bombs, and no disease,
    no hungry mouths to feed.

From a distance we are instruments
    marching in a common band.
Playing songs of hope, playing songs of peace.
They're the songs of every man.
God is watching us. God is watching us.
God is watching us from a distance.

From a distance you look like my friend,
even though we are at war.
From a distance I just cannot comprehend
what all this fighting is for.

From a distance there is harmony,
and it echoes through the land.
And it's the hope of hopes, it's the love of loves,
it's the heart of every man.

It's the hope of hopes, it's the love of loves.
This is the song of every man.
And God is watching you, God is watching you,
God is watching you from a distance.
Oh, God is watching you, God is watching.
God is watching you from a distance.

Psalm 138:6 6 Though the LORD is on high,

    Yet He regards the lowly;

But the proud He knows from afar. Bible warns-"teachers receive a heavier judgment" When U cop a plea U a.o.p. me gloat with glee.

    Frannie,

When I think of the phrase from that song

    From a distance

I get the feeling that it's really saying "Ten Foot Pole".

I wonder how their actions harmonize with this?

    PROVERBS 24:17-18 17

When your enemy falls, do not rejoice; and when he is caused to stumble, may your heart not be joyful, 18 that Jehovah may not see and it be bad in his eyes and he certainly turn back his anger from against him. (NWT)

Funny you bring this up. I was just thinking how when I had my open heart surgery after not being out of JWdom for too long, a lot of clients, friends, family sent me get well cards or wishes. Not one JW did, even though I've come to know thousands of JWs over 25 years.

    Of course they love it!!!

It validates their belief that they as Jehovah's people have his special blessing.

Dams ( nothing but great things have happened since I left ha ha ha ha ha )

Without a doubt. Everytime I run into a JW they will without fail ask me if I am happy. And when I tell them just how happy I am and they can see it is genuine they get afraid and either disappear quickly or rebuke me for leaving the organisation.

    They can't stand it.

Lol, Scully! Perhaps if there is a god, he's using a "Ten Foot Pole" when dealing with jdubs, eh?
