Ontario Canada has an assisted devices program that I will be applying for. I have to see an occupational therapist for an assessment and he will help me see what best suits my needs.
I will have to pay out of pocket for it but then I will get reimbursed. Whatever I get the government will pay up to 75% and I am looking around to see how I can get the money for the other 25%
That is the part that can take up to 2 years.
In the meantime the place that was trying to repair the scooter is looking around for a loaner for me.
And I will be calling the place where I got the wheelchair. They have a trading service. People donate their old equipment and it is loaned out to people in need. If I can get on their waiting list maybe something will come up soon.
