The real question is - How much do you want your house and cat watched over?

If you really do you'll become scare so your wife can arrange that with this jw gal.

If you don't care so much definately don't leave.

Don't spite your cat and home over a petty feud with your wife about not leaving the house.

The other solution is to get a non-jw to sit

We know a friend who had a pioneer witness house sit and take care of the family pet................the single pioneer used the house as a party house, oh and the pet she forgot to feed and give water, so the homecoming was a sad one: the house trashed, the pet dead, and they had to go to the hall and be loving and forgiving of the pioneer sister..................the pet was an exotic bird that talked and sang Kingdom melodies...........maybe it will be ressurected......................

This is hilarious! Because this happened to me 2 weeks ago.

I am DF'd but there are certain people that don't seem to care, anyways.... a baptized 21 yoa JW was going to house-sit for us when we went on our big 8-day vacation. She could have cared less that I was DF'd, came over, talked, we actually went to lunch, etc.... we give her the keys to our house. When we got back the house was in perfect shape, very clean, no complaints from us. Then the neighbors find us and all our neighbors came to us to complain. Evidently it was PARTY CENTRAL while we were gone. They said almost every day there were 2-3 cars in our driveway but over Labor Day weekend she literally had cars lined up all the way up and down the streets and this was all day, all night, for Sat, Sun, Mon. The parties would last till 3am.

Anyhow, my point is........... you never know how you can trust. Although our house was clean when we returned and although nothing was broken or stolen, unfortunatly she can't housesit again. He Dad was an elder, her mother used to be a pioneer, she's supposed to be on the up-and-up but who knows.

So far, no sister. I'm not sure if she came by and my wife didn't tell me, or my wife just gave her verbal instructions or a note.

    Pink,

We used to do that all the time. For some unknown reason, witness kids/party'ers always seem to converge on a home that is being housesat. It probably has something to do with not being seen, private. We would always hit their liquor stash and whatever else they had in the pantry or fridge. Funny thing is, we never felt guilty about consuming all of the homeowner's stuff. If they left it in a (jw)friends care, everything in it was fair game. I wouldn't dare do such a thing nowadays.

    Preston,

Our cat has renal failure which requires him to get saline injections twice a week behind the neck. He just loves that.
