Gun crime got a little out of hand in Paisley, for a while. Kneecappings were becoming a popular pastime.

Fortunately Scots are fairly congenial, coz getting on the bad side isn't a happy place to be. Why do you think we carry knives in our socks when we wear the kilt? Retrieving it makes one particular area of the anatomy a reasonable place to launch an attack on...

Many common household / garden shed items can be made into something dangerous, also. This includes such items as:

- Icing Sugar

- Garden Fertiliser

- Petrol

- Styrofoam

- Empty Glass Bottles

- Brake Fluid

- Swimming Pool Chlorine

I am not going to go into details, though - or they might think that I am running a training camp for terrorists!

Kwin...from what we hear in the states there are still some "real men" (and women) in the Western Provinces who own some firearms.

If you've ever been a-horseback for days ...looking for your cattle in wolf and bear country you would know why. Handguns and gangsters are a good mix for the liberal media...pretty easy to villify guns when we only talk about law breakers using them. A learned shootist will pick a "sporting" rifle to do his dirty business from afar... and grandad's .30-30 is more than enough for that.

Crime and such is about people. Violent people commit violent acts. Reasonable people will defend their homes and loved ones from such acts. Thats been a fact since the first men roamed the planet.

Guns are simply tools...anyone with a "clue" can raise as much hell on the human form with a ball bat or shovel if amply provoked or motivated to do harm.
