I beleive that defd has his place here on JWD, and can't have the answers to every question. Maybe you found a question that he couldn't answer.
Personally I love seeing true JW's post here. It makes nice discussions possible. It doesn't mean that they will win each one...

But the problem is, he won't admit he can't find an answer, or his answer whether personal opinion or bible based, is incorrect. Part of the self-righteousness that I've had with jw-ism and most fundamentalism.
I dont get it. Where did defd say he was gone again?
Here's some of my speculation of defd's background and motivation. His wife is a Nurse. I don't think her profession is much admired at the hall, though I bet she is a wonderful lady who deserves to be respected and admired. He all that admitted that he's been treated shabbily at the hall, and he hasn't been in field service for two months. Nevertheless, he is a "true believer" who hasn't tested the foundation of his faith. Now, for the second time, we've pushed him in to a Cognitive Dissonance loop. He has to get some distance to maintain his sense of balance. He is blaming us for getting so angry. He's not used to being uncertain. But, just like us, this is a man who yearns to have a Voice. Lord knows he doesn't have one at the Kingdom Hall.
I would love to ask Defd in more detail what his opinions are on the supposed Faithful and Discreet Slave class, where they are, how they manage to control the organization, and how they communicate their spirit-led advice to the rest of the flock?
Defd will be back, I am sure. My question is, what kind of reception will he get?
The same kind that he got last time he came back. He was welcomed back and told that he had been missed. If he comes back it will be the same.
I do not agree with JW doctrines but making personal attacks on people and being smug about it is not a good thing to do. Sometimes when you make these attacks on people you hurt them and they will defend themselves ...their frame of mind would not be so much in tact on point of distress...

Hibie, you are welcome here, but I fail to understand why you are here. You are not or never were a JW, you do not have family (that I can tell by your posts) that are or were JW, but you are here on a JW discussion board. Why? (I'm sure I missed something along the way as to why you are here... forgive my oversight)
However, if you or anyone wants to make a statement of belief, tell someone you will followup with documentation on said statement, then decided the followup is not worth it because the person you made the statement to is unworthy, you will come under fire.
We have a lot of people here discussing many issues and they come under fire when they are incorrect, fail to follow up, or quote out of context... and that's on science and philosophy! Why should JWism be any different?
If you use scripture to make a point, and the point is not fully made by that scripture, and the scripture is used out of context for the partial point made.... you will come under fire.

Same here. I have had very nice talks with him, even though Im df'd, he still pm'd me with respect. And lots of funny stuff too.
