Yes I am back it is 7:00am here. Got to work around 6:00am. Got my coffee and am getting ready for todays war. You know for awhile now I have been noticing who I WILL talk to and who I wont because of certain things. Some people will say< "thats mean, shunning somebody because................blah blah blah." When in fact that is a part of life. EVERYONE does it. Some people just dont like some people and Naturally they dont speak. When I say that though, "OH MY GOD I am a @#&*@! Yesterday was a big eye opener for me concerning alot of people in here. There are a bunch of CRY BABIES in here. Misery , Misery, Misery. MAN! Why do I keep coming here......? Wait I know I am an Apostate right? (shaking my head now) Gring you are ssssssssooooooooo eager to hear my reply. It makes me think you really are not interested in it. But really only to DISAGREE and I do not have the ENERGY today for all this.

Whoa, Derrick is bent! I hope you have your flameproof suit on today cause it looks like you just did a major throwdown with the crew here.

But really Derrick, what do you expect, I mean you know what the bias is around here, do you expect any different responses than what you are getting? Do you think there is going to be a mass conversion here, or a bunch of posters are going to say, oh gosh, how could I have been so blind and run back to the kingdom hall? Most of the people here have done a lot of soul searching and thinking about these issues.

I think it is odd when a Witness refuses to explain an article of their faith Scripturally. I have been getting a lot of that lately. From my local BOE, including my dad who is the PO, from the CO, from friends I thought had a clear understanding of their beliefs, it is saddening to me that so many people believe so ferverntly in things they cannot establish by use of the book they claim to base their faith on.

I gave a list of four questions to a friend in need once. I begged for supporting scriptures. It was the same list I gave to my dad years ago. NOT ONE WITNESS has ever even attempted to answer a single one of those four questions. I am not looking for my answers so I can disagree, I am trying to find out if there is a single witness that has a single reason for their beliefs on a single one of the four.

I am still looking for a witness that will answer one of those questions.

Maybe, gringoj is in a similar situation with his question. But, in classic JW style (vis-a-vis "a friend in need", scholar, Shining One and others) you play judge and jury to his motive and conveniently refuse to answer what should be an easy question if, and only if, there is foundation for your view. But, you don't have a foundation for your views.

You come here to try and prove to yourself that you do have basis for your beliefs and in the process, like all the others, one of two things happens: (1) You admit that you have no basis, or (2) you continue to state that you have a basis but for some reason (usually, "Pearls before swine") you refuse to share that basis.

Either way, you have no basis. You are just honest with everyone in one scenario and dishonest with everyone in the other.

So, I have two questions for you. Your answers will determine my measure of you as a person.

(1) Can you answer the question?
(2) Will you answer the question?

I am not that nieve to think I would produce a mass conversion here. I do not expect EVERYONE to agree with me. It is just..................................................................................... I dont know how to put it in words except what i said before........CRY BABIES.... I will think of a better termonology later.

Oh. Yeah, you are almost an apostate. Paul said those on the outside are the ones whose view we should be most concerned with, but you stand right up to Paul and say, in effect, "Stuff it!"

So, you can't answer the question. Thus the inane attempt to divert attention to a side battle. You and afin react exactly the same under pressure of having to demonstrate BASIS for your claims. Scholar, Shining One, and every other JW that comes here and tries to defend the JW beliefs use the exact same defensive tactics.

(1) State something as fact and yell it if you have to.
(2) State that you have support for your claim if anyone challenges the claim.
(3) Deny that the person asking deserves an answer, usually accompanied by a slanderous (libelous in print) judgment regarding motive.
(4) Deny that anyone who is curious about the lack answer also does not deserve an answer, no reason seems to be needed at this stage.
(5) Eventually stop posting to the thread because you can finally see what a horrible Witness you have made for Jehovah's name.

I think that sums up what I have seen in every thread from JW apologists.

I read your questions and frankly I think they are DUMB! If you are STUMBLED over those questions your problem with jws or Religion in general Go MUCH MUCH deeper.

Derrick, I think you need to try and understand where a lot of people here are coming from. Many of us were raised as JW's, you weren't, you were raised Catholic, you have no idea what it was like to be the only kid in school that didn't do the pledge, or was exclueded from all the parties, sports, etc. Many of us, me included feel like our childhood was taken from us for no good reason. Yeah, that hurts, that produces some bitterness.

Many others like you got involved as adults, and conformed their whole lives to what the FDS via the Watchtower, Awake, and platform told them was the right thing, only in their minds to find out later on that they had been lied to, or they shunned or are being shunned by their loved ones, etc. That too produces some deep pain and bitterness.

You haven't been on the recieving end of any of the above so you need to think about it and have some empathy for the folks that have. The people here by and large are not cry babies in my opinion, but people that have been hurt, some very deeply and others that are just plain p.o.'d over what they percieve as having been lied too, and its perfectly okay for them to feel that way, you need to respect that.
