Question for Defd

I have asked defd some rather less-than-difficult questions. He has never responded with much more than a red-herring or ad-hominen attack unfortunately. I expect the same on this thread. It is the pattern.

He is here to preach, not to learn. We discovered yesterday the level of distortion and deception he uses when he revealed [whether true or not] that Hibi was his wife. I think he is just playing games with us, nothing more. He has refused to enter into a single intelligent debate with anyone, athiest, Christian or agnostic yet. He refuses to even discuss matters that are in his own religious magazines, except with complete dogmatism that misses the point. He has insulted and attacked carla, jgnat, oldsoul, big dog, and many others with no other motive than to stave off actual reply to serious questions. He prefers to stay blinded.

I doubt now anything he says. He may be a witness, or not. He may be married to Hibi, or not. He may be a man, or a woman. He may be sitting at a desk in Brooklyn Hq under guise or not. He may be a mole, or not.

I don't trust deceivers. I don't trust this guy. I stood up for him a few times, and we battled a few times. But all the battles were one-sided as he refused to be engaged in intellegent debate.

When and if, he ever decides to treat people were with dignity, and some compassion, and actually becomes interested in fair/two sided debate, I will again join the fray. Until then I think we are throwing our pearls before swine perhaps. No attack intended defd. Just facts. I for one an done playing his juvenile games. At least for now.

DefD Hon, we all have bad days. Well accepted.

I have gathered that I have become one that you prefer not to respond to. After all, I am a lowly woman. Probably old enough to be your grandmother.

Generalism: You bring up arguable points, you argue them and cite scripture, but you fail to answer pointed, specific questions with any solid answers

Your last response to me in another thread about Jehovah's Kingdom being an actual Government, was that I was using the WRONG BIBLE by referencing the 1984 rendition of the New World Translation instead of the King James version. The NWT is the wrong bible to use for that specific scripture? Lord love a duck. (Isa 8 or 9 in reference to Jehovah's kingdom being a government - my chest and right side have been in pain for 3 days and I don't feel like looking up the thread)

Yes, this is a criticism. I think a very valid one, considering Jehovah's Witnesses prefer to use the NWT, and highly look down upon the KJV. It also shows me how a Witness(tm) will go to any length to quote any subjected scripture out of context to meet their own requirements.

I truly don't care if you answer my questions or not because your response was answer enough to the questions and thread.

But please, you promised GringoJJ to continue the conversation, and then you backpedal because he's not sincere enough or you think he has underlaying motives. Methinks your motives have come to the surface and have been acknowledged by yourself.

    AK - Jeff,

You can add to your list: "Takes Scripture wildly out of context for the purpose of evading any need to analyze his/her stated beliefs."

2TIM 2:23 "Further, turn down foolish and ignorant questionings, knowing they produce fights."

Here is the verse in paragraph context:

Timothy 2:23-2 -- Further, turn down foolish and ignorant questionings, knowing they produce fights. But a slave of the Lord does not need to fight, but needs to be gentle toward all, qualified to teach, keeping himself restrained under evil, instructing with mildness those not favorably disposed; as perhaps God may give them repentance leading to an accurate knowledge of truth, and they may come back to their proper senses out from the snare of the Devil, seeing that they have been caught alive by him for the will of that one.

Everyone can determine for themselves whether Paul was encouraging Timothy to avoid using Scripture to uphold his beliefs when asked sincerely to do so. That is certainly how defd applied the text he selected.

Defd would come of much better in such discussions if he would simply admit when he is not qualified to teach a specific doctrine of faith from the Scriptures.

    Defd,

My not being "favorably disposed" does not excuse your failure to instruct me with mildness. Especially given that I am eager for and PLEADING for such instruction. Nor does it give you license to automatically assume that any question I ask is foolish or ignorant. I have read and or scanned every reference to "slave" in the Watchtower Library CD-ROM, as well as "Organization", and "spirit". I have found no indication of any article that gives Scriptural support for this teaching. I did run across a few older articles that say this arrangement was "revealed" to the Slave Class in the early 1900s.

So, since I am supposed to be able to support my beliefs by Scripture, I am asking you to help me do that. Mind you, I am not disfellowipped, or disassimilated yet. You are writing to a brother in the Congregation who is being (hopefully) assisted back into spiritual health by the local BOE and the CO. But unless I can get a basis for confidence in authority claimed by the Slave I cannot conscientiously agree to submit to that authority.

Excuse away if you like, but keep this in mind, your Judge and Lawgiver to whom you answer is greater than your lords and masters on earth. I encourage you not to treat lightly with His Word.

Brenda I do not recal me saying to you, you are using the wrong bible. JWS, at least the ones I know, do not say that the King James is horrible. Actually we are encouraged to use that out in the Ministry at times. I have a copy or two myself. As far as the Kingdom statement goes, it is a Government, Is that not what the bible says at Isaiah 9:6...?

    Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God,

Instead of asking Derrick soooooooooooooo many questions and being ridiculous about it......search the Word (the bible) - use a King James Version....it holds the answers to many questions.

Are you really interested in seeking the truth?

    You are welcome Derrick.

There are a lot of questions because of many confused minds.

That's ok....but there is no need for them to be so hateful and make personal attacks. Personal attacks lead to defenses which appear to be "rude" as someone said I was. We are only human not robots.
