Do you ever talk to yourself aloud?

Either walking down the street all alone, or anywhere, does it happen that you talk to yourself aloud?

Have you ever been cought doing this?

ALL the time. Just got caught this a.m. talking to myself outside my job. I am pretty good at diverting attention when caught, such as pretending I'm softly singing, biting my lip, coughing, etc. Probably once a day I've been caught so red-handed my diversions don't work and I get strange looks.

I truly CAN'T STOP IT. I've tried and tried. Been doing it since I learned to talk. It's unconscious. I do it all day.

I've been told to put my cell phone earpiece in to make it look as though I'm talking to someone.

ALL THE TIME! I was the youngest growing up and so always had imaginary friends. Kinda of stuck as I got older (the talkinng to myself not the imaginary friends) I prefer to think of it as talking out loud. Sure, I get caught all the time.

I do everytime I come on this DB. One time i was reading a post and someone caught me saying

Yes, I'm a real fruitcake. I talk, sing... hubby says I moan in my sleep.

I've done the same thing Rebel8! Get my cell to my ear especially when I am shopping (I do a lot of thinkin aloud then) so I don't look crazy. Pretty cool, that I am not the only one

It's all right to send yourself a letter, ... BUT

It's "NOT" okay to call yourself up on the phone.

I live alone and I'm losing my english because there is NO ONE who speaks english around here, so often I talk in english to myself aloud so that I don't lose my english completely.

Gee, I'll pay someone to phone me and talk to me in english soon.

Or even better, I should read an english book aloud. but I don't have any english books just french ones, so I read the only literature I find that's in english in my apartment.....you guessed it, Watchtowers and Awakes
