okay. Yes. There's corned beef from the deli, sliced, it's like ham, salami, turkey, roast beef, corned beef. Then there's corned beef hash. That's the stuff that comes in a can with potatoes, it's got the cat or dog food thing going but still yummy. Here you can also get roast beef hash (Hormel brand) which is the same but lower in fat. Served with sunny side eggs and toast it is heaven.

Ahhh, I forgot about the roast beef hash....but I think my family was always partial to the corned beef. My grandma always added extra potato--it was so good. I've bought Hormel in the past BUT remember the generic white can or box w/ balck text? It wasn't the best but it was okay...my mom always bought that stuff while it was on the market. After that I think she only bought Hormel. I also remember government cheese....I remember it because it made the best cheese sandwiches.

Corned beef is OK in Lobby (that's what we call Corned Beef Hash around here), but on its own its vulgar!

One of my favorite meals is mexian fajitas. I also like mashed potatoes with creamy french chicken tonight (with chicken of course).

The wierdest thing that happened to me once with food was when I developed a cheese and branston pickle sandwich addiction. I mean a real addiction - I would eat them for lunch and dinner every day. It lasted about three months and then one day I thought - I don't think I'll have that on my sandwiches now.

I think I have an addictive personality but its mostly short lived. When I was little I was addicted to Coca Cola and if there wasn't any in the house I would HAVE TO go to the shop and get some.

So, is Branston Pickle sort of like what we call sweet relish? About the only thing I eat that on is hot dogs.

I love sliced corned beef in a Reuben sandwich, but I have those very rarely any more. My mother used to make corned beef, cabbage and boiled potatos occassionaly when I was growing up, but I've never bothered. It wasn't that good and it made the house smell.

My father loved corned beef hash with a fried egg for breakfast. I never cared for it much. LOL

Right now I have a love affair with a pizza, but only a certain type. Very thin crust, with minimal tomato sauce and real mozarella cheese melted on it. The restaurant even has a drive-up window so I can get it by the slice, which I've been doing every Friday after work lately. It's not on my diet plan, but I don't care.

All right Professor, you beat me to the punch. I was getting ready to share with with world how much I love rubin sandwiches. LOL.

Another combination that always gets strange looks is chocolate and beer. I love to wash down a chocolate bar with beer. Delicious!

We don't get those here. It's all Ramen Noodles, and not all the great flavors you get in Japan. Just Chicken, Beef, etc.

You, don't know what you're missing! Pot Noodles are the staple of most students diets, although Mircowaveable meals are up there, nothing beats a pot noodle for filling you up, and doing it quickly.

When I was little I was addicted to Coca Cola and if there wasn't any in the house I would HAVE TO go to the shop and get some

Yeah, I'm still in the addicted to Coca Cola, although I've managed to force myself to drink Diet Coke because I figured less sugar's gotta be better for me.

Damnit! This thread is making me hungry!

Ahh Jordan, its a pity you don't live closer, I would've had you over for a proper meal, never mind pot noodles, I've just finished off a joint of beef.

Have you tried the new McDoanlds Deli sandwiches? They are really yummy, and Ballistic, a little more upmarket than the Chavburgers.
