I LOVE corned beef with cabbage and boiled potatoes. I think that's the Irish in me. And corned beef hash with a fried egg - yummmy! But it's got to be homemade. The canned stuff is disgusting. Blech.

Yup! Well, I'd never eat a horse, no matter how hungry. But donkey tastes pretty hee-haw good!
Especially with them yellow noodles they served it with. Pretty neat seeing noodles like that in China, on the Silk Road, looked and tasted just like spaghetti.

this is what I posted before....yeah you can get corned beef from the butcher...much more like ham or a roast. But I grew up with the stuff in the picture you posted...only a different brand.

In Japan they are way more into Ramen Noodles. Convenience stores carry 20-30 varieties.

I love ramen....I kind of like the packaged kind you have to prepare in a pan though....Manchuran...Top Ramen and such. You know there's a Korean brand I can't think of the name of at the moment (the noodles are in a circular shape rather than the regular square) it's really good. I used to get it at a Cala Foods in SF all the time but haven't found it in Seattle yet.
