Just worn out

i thought it best i stay a lurker.

it's just right now, i'm going through some doubts and just plain discouraged.

sometimes, trying to do everything just wears me out, and i feel like i'm suffocating.

Welcome. Hugs. This is the only life you have sweetie. It's not a dress rehearsal or the "green room" you wait in for the "real life" to begin in some paradise. What is the paradise you were promised? And if there is a huge shortage of JW men now...how much less so will that be the case in the paradise if there was one?

It will take 1000 years for you or any of those "prospectives" to reach perfection, whatever that is. I dont know about you...but Im not willing to wait that long. My idea of paradise is not living on a destroyed planet under the direction of the elders who were questionable moral leaders to begin with.

I left the JWs. I brought my children with me even though I am married and separated from a 22 year marriage to a JW. My children and I have blossomed and now actually LIVE OUR LIVES instead of sitting around waiting for the party to get started.

Dont waste one more year of your life. Get out there...get away from the confines of that organization.

But if that is not a viable alternative for you...there are many online JW dating sites from what Ive seen.

our friend who was one of the annointed has died, i cried so much but then i was excited knowing shes in heaven meeting apostle paul, peter and brother knorr etc....wow how great is that :).

You guys forget you are dealing with a JW mindset where everything that is said by the Goobering Bootie is accepted at face value. Logic or facts or TRUTH have nothing to do with that mindset. All good little JWs do not question anything they are told.

She may not accept that pedophiles, and there are THOUSANDS in the JWs...will not be going to heaven or anywhere ELSE, even if they label THEMSELVES annointed, which they do...but my guess is that every story perpetuated by the JW rumor mill is accepted immediately without it being "hearsay". Like all the MIRACLES you hear happening to JWs. "Oh I wanted to pioneer but couldnt pay my rent! And the next day there was an envelope on my stoop with EXACTLY $597.27 to pay my bill! Jehovah is sooooo wonderful!!"

Or..."I bought a dresser from a garage sale at a worldly person's home and THAT VERY NIGHT the drawers began opening and closing by themselves! I called out to Jehovah to SAVE us from the DEMONs! We tried to burn it the next day and IT WOULDNT BURN!"

how many times have you seen discussions about how the flood myth violates the laws of physics, or that ghost stories violate the principles of biology?

my neighbor near my workplace brought a piece of mail delivered to him by mistake.

he and his employee/student from his martial arts studio came by and he began preaching to me about christ.

he's a pentecostal christian who has dreams and visions of events that have supposedly happened that he prophesied beforehand.

but the ones i have are good ones.

of course we share no 'history', since i never had a 'worldly' friend until i left at 48.. in my cyberworld [and some would argue the credence of that] i have found many fine souls with which to commiserate, share, grow.

every time we enter a new year, i think about how i wasn't supposed to make it this long.

i really believed we wouldn't live past the year 2000, and armageddon would change everything.

it almost strikes me as living on borrowed time, but then i remember that armageddon is a story, not a reality.

As for AEs conviction that the Gooberning Boobies never said anything about 1975...how amazing is it then that 2.5 million Jehovahs Witnesses at theEXACT SAME TIME ALL over the world...ALL came to the SAME conclusions about the SAME year at the SAME time and reacted the exact SAME WAY to that SAME revelation...if it was never mentioned or published and "never happened?" Isnt that a MIRACLE??

One would have to assume then that God himself spoke to all those people with a ginormous dream and directed it ONLY to Jehovahs Witnesses that that year was going to bring the end of the system. Either GOD lied or the GOOBERNING DROOLING BOOBIES are and did...lie.

My money is on the GB.
