Revamping of the" GENERATION " of the "LAST DAYS " the big joke.I decided right there that I had ignored too much and this was the last straw.My family had wasted 4 generations on this nonsense and I was stopping it now!!

Alcohol and the Witness
by Maverick inwhen i first was studying with the duds, one of the things i found interesting is that duds are ok with drinking alcohol, "in moderation".
i never was a big drinker, usually one drink if i'm out and will have to drive and no more than three in any 24 hour period, even if i'm staying home.. i wonder if the fact the "the judge" was a rumpot contributed to the soft attitude on alcohol?
most of the brothers i knew were big drinkers and many of the older elders drank more with dinner that i drink in a weekend.

I think witnesses are the biggest closet drinkers -- I was,but what else was there to do? Everthing is forbidden.I've been out 7yrs and I 've learned that there were a lot big drinkers {drunks} in positions of power--after I escaped.Never saw it in the hall though.

i know there are quite a few postings regarding the release of the new "childrens" book at this years convention but i don't know if any of them have focused on the articles i've quoted here.

I think children are very smart--the witnesses will want them to conform--will force them to conform the older they get.Always be there for them, let them speak freely ,create an enviorment where they can be themselves{within reason} without fear of being pulled into the back ROOM.IMPORTANT be a good example yourself--a person who can make good decisions without a cult.Many times people fall into the trap of being labeled Enemies of God by JW's by opposing them head on,thus clouding the issue for your children.I know from experience[4th gen X-Witness} I was one of these children.
