20 more cases + court defiance = judgement in default = 10 million per case = $ 200 million! (excluding future cases)
Yes, keep up with the defiance
with the recent case of the watchtower hierarchy defying the court to either produce documents relating to child sex abuse claims within their organisation, and also refusing to produce a governing member to appear in court to answer questions , not only shows their arrogance and defiance of the law , they also show their contempt of the judicial system of the usa .. arent they supposed to be obeying the bible injunction ?
" pay back ceasers things to ceaser ?".
"when you are hailed before the courts , i will put words in your mouth ?".

oh yep...here we go..... this weeks service meeting has a part designed to show how children should be indoctrinated and manipulated into going "out in service".
the part first asks for the disturbingly corny cartoon clip to be played on the big screen at the halls: "lets go out in service!".
(if you haven't watched it yet, please go to jw.org and watch it....you simply won't beleive it until you see it!).
Selling magazines? Can't say that they are as no one is paying for them

GC, have you ever thought about child rights? Is it logical for parents to reject a life-saving blood transfusion for a dying child based on a flawed doctrine and deny that child the right to live? That is one of the major differences between JW's & other religions
i was talking to an uber dub friend last night who lives in the san diego area.
he knew nothing of the $13.5 million dollar law suit.
when i tried to tell him that this is a systemic problem, and that this could perhaps be the tip of the ice burgh.
Paralipomenon... I thought I was the only one. Haven't come across your wife before =P

So child abuse is not something to worry about? Great...
so i am being hounded by the elders who are staring to get suspicious about our "slackening off in the truth".
rather than being railroaded or pushed into a defensive or argumentative situation, i am keeping the following comment up my sleeve:.
"jehovah is really blessing our family life.
Seems that after I learned TTATT, some of my actions caused alarm bells to ring... LOL

Just to elaborate further, one of the elders approached me & told me that he would like to meet with me together with another elder. When I told him that I would be ok with it on condition that the other elder be replaced with another one (I requested specifically for a certain elder who was more compassionate & understanding), he told me that it would not be possible as he was assigned to follow up on me with the other elder by the body of elders

I guess one of the elders brought up your spiritual slackening at an elders' meeting, after which one or two elders were assigned to follow up on you & find out the reasons why you are slacking
I'm guessing so as that was exactly what happened to me before
hey folks......has anyone else heard of, or experienced this before?.
i visited by parents over the weekend and accompanied them to their assembly....same rubbish spoken about since ive been born....obey the gb, donate your last penny, no education and be a pushover.. anyways, our assembly hall has lush vegetation and scenery, so i was more focused on that....i started dozing off after lunch, so got up and went walking, saw some older folks from the congregation i grew up with.. upon the conclusion of the assembly, wed normally leave out right after the prayer ends so as to avoid the traffic.
however, for this assembly he told me that hes gonna be a few minutes with the elders and branch representatives...so a few minutes turned into an hour..
I think we are on different lines of thought. My point is - can you FORCE someone to put money into a contribution box?

With 2/3rds of young ones leaving the truth, they need to come up with different tactics to make meetings more appealing to young ones
