  God is not genocidal

  so at the meeting a few weeks ago the speaker was having a talk about inactive people and then he went on about how people think the god of the old testament was cruel and genocidal.

  he then said that god and did not commit genocide because everything he did was for a reason.

  i was shocked at how stupid that saying was.

  i was head over heels for this girl, but when i realized i was in a self destructive cult i realized tieing the knot with her would screw up my future.

  this makes me think of the highschool sweethearts i turned down that were worldly.

  now she gives me dirty looks whenever our eyes meet a the hall or at gatherings.

  and they left the congregations, would you then feel open to be thier friends?.

  many on here have the same complaint, that in the jw congregations, there were clickes, no one had time for each other,.

  people judged, there was a lack of association, freindship , true concern and love were lacking.

  I would welcome them with open arms. I'm going to get all teary just imagining it.

  Will Elders Still Perform Marriages If The Sister Doesn't Marry At Least A Ministerial Servant?

  based upon the last big meeting this past weekend, would it be proper for an elder to perform a wedding ceremony if the brother is not at least a mini servant?.

  does a female kingdom publisher need to wear a head covering if she conducts a bible study in the presence of a male publisher?.

  in a questions from readers item published in the watchtower of july 15, 2002, it was stated that a sister should cover her head if she conducts a bible study in the presence of a male publisher, whether he is baptized or not.

  further consideration of the matter suggests that a modification to this direction is appropriate.. if the male publisher who accompanies the sister while she conducts an established bible study is baptized, the sister would certainly want to wear a head covering.

  So what if the baptised male is a kid of ten?

  I knew sisters who conducted studies with men in the presence of their husbands and never saw the need.

  Most failed to grasp the basic principle behind it so had no idea why or when they should be wearing one.

  And why shouldn't sisters giving talks or doing demo's wear one? They are sitting in a room full of baptised males.

  my neighbor told me she had been talking about me recently.

  "i was saying to carrie in the office i just don't see how anyone can deny the existence of a higher power.

  she needed some q-tips, and found a box of them on the free table by the office.

  What kind of parent would you be if you had food freely available to you but

  waited until your child was starving and begging for food before you fed them...if at all?

  A pretty sucky parent.

  God must be pretty damn stupid if he can't tell the difference between Q-tips and food.

  what can be done to assist brothers and sisters who suffer from adverse reactions to fragrances?any who are sensitive to fragrances face a difficult challenge.

  The KH is supposedly a public meeting place and it is unreasonable and impossible to police such things.

  The fact is it, it is not a crime to wear fragrances in public places.

  I know there are ones at the KH that would like the elders to be:

  fragrance police, fashion police, air-con/heating police, the list goes on and on.

  I have never met so many "sensitive ones" as JWs.

  Having said that I do suffer from allergies and would sometimes have to move seats.

  but so what? You have to put up with smells everywhere you go.
