  for the 33 years i was "in" their seemed to be a constant barrage against catholicism from either the watchtower or awake mags., and hardly a peep out of them towards other individual faiths .. i havent read any of their publications for well over 20 years and was just wondering if anything has changed in this regard .. smiddy.

  There is plenty of anti catholicism voiced by individual JWs, nothing specifically anti catholic in print that I have noticed.

  please don't take this the wrong way if your battling weight problems, that's not what this thread is meant to talk about.

  i am asking this question because jehovah's witnesses claim they have "the best way of life", "god's blessing", "the truth" and are trying to change the habits of healthy people by turning them in to their own makings.

  i watched people who were great athletes turn all their muscle in to fat because we would get a elder or circuit overseer make remarks they were spending too much time "working out" and "bodily training is beneficial for little".

  the leaks from the new november watchtower are alarming.

  they will disturb even longtime jws who haven't surrendered all rational thought.

  it's become so cult like its scary.

  I have felt this for a while.

  They are winnowing, testing people's loyalty and hopefully the weak links will go away.

  They probably figure Jesus himself did this (make contentious statements) to sort people out.

  This "spot the JW trait" "syndrome" (if you like) is something only truly understandable to someone who has

  "been there done that, and got the t-shirt".

  Even the therapist I needed after stopping going to meetings didn't really get

  my borderline obsession with JW-ness.

  But the truth is (pardon the pun) the WTosophy really weasles it's way into your psyche, and it can take some time of

  serious debriefing to get them out of your f#ckin head!

  Some will be stuck there for life.

  DELIGHTFUL DROP IN MEMORIAL ATTENDANCES: 2011 VERSUS 2014!

  the us kingdom ministry shows the collective total 2014 memorial attendances of the countries that now comprise the us territory in 2014: 2,610,810.. those countries are: the usa, bermuda, jamaica, turks and caicos and puerto rico.. the same collective total for those same countries three years ago - 2011 - was 2,666,592.. that's a decrease of 55,782 from 2011 to 2014. i am happified.. while there has been the occasional year in which memorial attendances from one year to the next have shown decrease, this is a first: decline evident over a three-year period.. comments please!.
