Counsellor needed please!
by stuckinarut2 inhi all.. i have noticed that many of our forum members have sought professional help from counsellors who deal with ones like us who have broken free from high control groups or "cults".. my self esteem has been rocked by recent events in the cong, and while i know ttatt it still has taken my joy in life away quite a bit.. as you all know, mentally i broke free from the org several years ago, but now that i am trying to start making the physical break, i feel really unsettled and nervous.. i wonder if a good counsellor could assist in helping me clarify and sort my feelings and emotions , and provide help to take practical steps to cut all ties with the org?.
if anyone can provide ideas of good counsellors, it would be appreciated.. thanks everyone!.

Hang in there stuck, remember you are a person, not a function, so removal of the title of MS doesn't diminish you.
I hooked up with a counselor when my shit storm happened and it was very helpful to have face time with someone who just allowed me to talk without judging me.
Be strong, and don't let the bastards get to you. Your life, your decision, everyone else will just have to deal!

Didn't look at the link, but where I live, meetings for field service have been on a downhill slide for years now. You would be lucky if two people turned up. The GB would have to be aware of this trend , if it is a universal one , which I suspect it could be. -

The game itself may well be innocent in the hands of innocent people, but it's not the innocent we need to be concerned about, it's the undetected pedophile that sees an opportunity to ask children to play dress-ups- just like Jehovah does. Pedophiles don't think like normal people, and making undressing a game to children is a recipe for disaster in my opinion. -

the co level will be "retired" at age 70 and the latest development was that the cobe can not serve after age 80. it would seem that there is a "cull" of top management.
in secular companys that would signal a radical change of directions ???.

I'm not at meetings anymore, but there have been several unannounced home visits asking for a "chat". I just decline politely by saying
" oh, thanks for thinking of me, but that wont be necessary, maybe I could come by and have a coffee with you at your place......"
I haven't heard from that elder since then.

Governing Body Helpers ----- Who are they? Are they future GB in the making?
by adjusted knowledge inso after nearly 15 to 19 years of not attending a convention, i can't recall exactly, i went to one last year.
the brother giving the talk was from bethel and was introduced as a helper of the governing body.
it was a title i never heard of before.
