Sunday's W.T angered me + I found an ironic scripture
by Isambard Crater induring the "do you love me more than these" watchtower study on sunday, i got so angry on many occasions, hearing people make comments like "if you enjoy your job, you're an enemy of jehovah" and "the only reason we're here is to preach.
work and relaxation only exist to help us to preach".. the paragraph talking about the "do more!
" attitude in the world getting people down really got me down just reading it, as it applies so much to the borg.. i also found the ecclesiastes scripture quoted to be ironic, as the rest of the article tells is that nothing is better or more of a priority than to preach;.

Absolutely! I don't like JW me, looking back it was like I was under a spell but, in my own defense I was always trying to make the best of an impossible situation. All the "lame ducks" of the congregation used me as a sounding board when things got tough, which I was happy to be there for people. Ironically all the same people shunned me when I stopped going to meetings! I tried to be honest with people at the door about the JW religion, but I was also a good teacher and householders told me that. I was an asset to that congregation and probably every single person on this forum was an asset to their congregation.
WT has been purging all the best people for years and it will come back to bite them one day.

JW Kids Bullying My Daughter
by pale.emperor intrying not to type swearwords as i write this so bare with me.. my little 3yo attends meetings with her jw mum (who doesn't believe watchtower anymore but is stuck in because she relies on her family for help).
my mum (the one who tells people im dead) had a party for her grandchildren.
that's my 4 nieces and 1 nephew aged from 3yo-11yo.

The answer is simple - boycott their stupid parties. Your daughter doesn't need that kind of toxic message sent to her from self righteous relatives.

I believe in myself and I'm having way too much fun researching to lock myself into any one belief system. Knowing is preferable to believing anyway, but, with all the things that are unknowable for me I remain in an open but not gullible "watch this space" mode, put whatever it is to one side or the backburner of my brain and move on to something else to research. Biggest fun I've had in years apart from non-jw sex and would highly recommend the lone wolf approach.

Signing petitions in other countries or writing to other countries inquires.
by John Davis ini am seeing this petition and call for people to write to the iicsa so that they will investigate watchtower.
i think that this part is good if the person who signs the petition or writes the letter is a citizen or a resident of that country.
i have a problem when people who are citizens or residents of other countries do this when they write into an inquiry like the arc or sign petitions.

All well and good JD, trouble is, WT influences citizens from countries other than America. WT tries to influence Governments from countries other than America. If WT kept their cult business franchise within their own borders maybe WT wouldn't need to be investigated or banned in countries other than America and there would be no petition to sign or letters to other countries to write.

Jehovahs Witnesses and Babylon The Great.Why the Emphasis on the R.C.Church and not on Islam.
by smiddy ini was thinking back to when the book babylon the great has fallen gods kingdom rules.was published many years ago when it was believed religion was declining in the world.. the book took exception to the r.c.church as the worst of christendom substituting themselves for the kingdom of god on earth , the counterfeit kingdom i think they called them.vicar of christ on earth.. and while its true to some degree in western lands today that religion is declining as regards christendom it is not happening in non christian religions around the world.. which brings me to the unprcedented rise and spread of islam in the world today .. with the war in iraq ,syria ,etc,and the people fleeing these war torn countries to europe and elsewhere around the globe with refugees and asylum seekers the spread of islam in the short space of time now beats any missionary projects conducted by christendom.. judaism ,christendom and islam all have their roots in the bible.the jews first then christians then muslims.. the bible only relates to the first two jews and christians and is completely silent about muslims.even in prophecy.. the book mentioned earlier btggkr nowhere mentions islam or muslims.as if they didnt even exist ,yet today they equal in numbers to all of christendoms religions.. islam today is by far a greater threat to christianity and especially to jehovahs witnesses than anything the roman catholic church ever posed before.. obviously the holy bible and the holy spirit or jehovahs chosen people the jehovahs witnesses never did forsee the rise and influence of the religion of islam in todays world.. the bible is completely silent about islam or the rise of muslims on the world stage.. could it be that they could no more predict the future than i could ?.
the wtb&ts the publishing house of jehovahs witnesses have for the past 100 years have continually attacked the roman catholic religion and portrayed them in an unfavourable light.time after time in mags and books,.
how many times have the wtb&ts attacked and challenged the religion of islam and muslims and condemned them as a principle member of babylon the great the empire of false religion.. to this day jehovahs witnesses cannot freely go door to door preaching their message in muslim dominated countries where proselytism is forbidden.

Oh, I don't know, some cultures are more demonstrative than others that's for sure but that doesn't make all white people cold nor is it a true gauge of true character I am sure the mafia can throw a spririted party. It's like the old cliche of rich people are dishonest poor people are noble sort of thing. It's more to do with culture than skin colour I think.
