Girls can't do maths

I used to help my husband count the congo money and regularly went to the bank with it all by myself! I still type out the WT schedule for one of the brothers who can't use a computer well. Girls can do math, be trusted not to use congregation funds to buy shoes instead of taking them to the bank, and can also type even though they've been inactive non-attenders for a long time.

Girls are also great at scanning confidential elders textbooks and leaking them onto the internet before their official release, along with the BOE letter saying girls can't touch, look at or be within 50 paces of the elders book. (Slight exaggeration. How is YKnot nowadays, I wonder?)

they use poor reasoning, they wiggle around the question and ignore the fact the watchtower was affiliated with the united nations.

this website fails to ignore the facts that we were not allowed to join the ymca even though we did not follow the charter rules, the watchtower agreed to follow the un charter and did so from 1992 to 2001 when the scandal was exposed.. .

have any of you seen works to debunk their slanted arguments and dishonest play of words?.

It's been done already. You mean, of course, the jehovahsjudgment site. Jeffro has debunked the 607 stuff the site did. The author Thirdwitness came on here years ago and his claims (607, UN) were deconstructed and refuted. More material HERE.

No. They made no reference to professional help.

nothing in the video, nor at the elders' school where this was first presented, even hinted at directing her to professional help.

I could only watch a snippet or two. They made the hairs on the back of my neck stand on end! The emotionless, clichéd, "We commend you for coming to us" (pt. 1) - ugh. Then I zipped through bits of the Suicidal Widow one and got to the part where she's just told the elder she wants to gas herself with the car exhaust and the elder nods with a fake-looking smile and says, "Thank you for feeling comfortable enough to tell us that." Both attempts to be sympathetic or somehow supportive come over so patronizing, insincere and ... something ...

... THAT'S IT: hypnotic. That's why my neck hairs stand on end. Brr.

Can anyone tell me if the elders at any time advise the suicidal sister to see a doctor or professional counsellor?

my sister who is 26 and a jw, recently quit her job to join this "company" that helps people invest for retirement.

she has a masters and was working in education.

now she's sold on syncis.

Yep.

Lisa Rose has pretty much summed up the whole MLM thing. The products can be good (I still regularly buy some from one MLM company), but the business ... pht ... most end up making a loss (despite the perks), especially if they keep reworking the business plan so that the ones at the top cream off more commission at the expense of the lower levels.

607 vs 587 BC for Spanish Speakers

youtuber laverdadde laverdad is redoing the series on 607 bc in spanish.

although i don't understand the language, it seems to far exceed the original in quality.

im amazed at the time and effort and love he has poured into this.
