this is part of the speech that anthony morris iii gave during his time in the limelight at the 2014 annual meeting.. at 3.16.32 of the recorded meeting.
"what role do those with an earthly hope play?
oh oh ho veeeery important role, very important.
There was more Orwellian content before the 'they oughta be worried about my big brother' comment.
At about 3h11m, after raising questions about the parable of the talents that are going to be discussed, he says,
"Now I thought I would just quote our new Kingdom book at this point, and Brother Splane helped us to understand - sometimes we'll have cherished teachings, we've been saying it for decades, and we trust the brothers that printed it decades ago and that's fine, but when it's time then we need to adjust our thinking if the teaching's being adjusted. It's not complicated. [Audience laughs; AMIII shrugs and laughs] And we all just treasure our new Kingdom book. There's so many wise things in there, illustrations, artwork - you can't find any place else other than Bethel and other than the book. So here's what we said on page 37, paragraph 18 - and you'll see how it applies to this and to what you just heard with Brother Lett and you'll hear here and you're going to hear with Brother Jackson, by the way:
"'Just as Jehovah progressively revealed truths about the Kingdom in the period leading up to 1914, he continues to do so during the time of the end. ... God's people have had to adjust their understanding on a number of occasions. Does that fact mean that they do not have Jehovah's backing? On the contrary! He supports them. Why? Because those who fear Jehovah have displayed two qualities that he loves - faith and humility. Jehovah's servants have faith that all the promises in God's Word will come true. They show humility when they admit that they misunderstood exactly how those promises would be fulfilled.' Or the teachings. 'That humble attitude is reflected in the March 1, 1925, issue of The Watch Tower,' - and this is profound back in 1925, quote: '"We know that the Lord is his own interpreter, that he will interpret his Word to his people in his own good way and in his own due time."'
"Jehovah's running this organization. He's the rider of the chariot and we're pleased to follow the best we can and keep up with it."
On other words, Jehovah's running the show and progressively revealing truths to His Org but His Org has misunderstood those revealed truths, but that's OK and we can still trust the Org because, when the Org realizes they misunderstood His revealed truths, they can humbly say 'oops, Lord, my bad' each time and adjust their understanding to the 'correct' interpretation (which might not be correct in the long run depending on whether or not the Org misunderstood God's revealed truths yet again). Even though the Org has taught cherished UNtruths for decades, Jehovah has allowed it and still supports it! Anyway, it's not complicated: when the Org makes changes to teachings and practices, just be obedient, nodding sheeple and suck it up because Jehovah's running the show ... . (Circularreasoningworksbecausecircularreasoningworksbecause...)
What a mindjob! So again,
Either
- Jehovah is purposefully giving His Org the run-around which means He is a capricious deity and can't be the God of Truth.
Or
- The Org is just doing its own thing, taking interpretational stabs in the dark and hoping something sticks, in which case Jehovah can't be running the Org.
You can't have it both ways, Tony.

nonjwspouse, are you able to post a pic of your zombified relative from this episode? Was he in a crowd or one of the close-ups?
hello all, as you know, when jw tv was announced, our board went wild.
many comments, much speculation and alot of negative feedback on the quality, etc.
well, what has me concerned is that i have not heard a peep from any of my connections left in kingdom-land.
So far only one JW I know has greeted it as enthusiastically as this ...
... otherwise, silence.
suppose a jwombie gets ebola and the only treatment is a blood transfusion.
will that person die because they want to please there god the wtbts or.
die a spiritual death because they wanted to save there life and get df'd?.
Shirley:
"As of October 2, of the 2,800 Witnesses in Guinea and Sierra Leone, one female Witness who was a nurse contracted the Ebola virus and died on September 25, 2014. Of the 6,365 Witnesses in Liberia, 10 have died as a result of the disease; 6 were health workers." - http://www.jw.org/en/news/releases/by-region/world/jehovahs-witnesses-respond-2014-ebola-outbreak/

Another one hooked here. This season's first episode ramped up the 'Eww' factor and grabbed your attention by the throat (in more ways than one).

"What's it going to take for them to [turn from the two-witness rule]?
If $28 MILLION doesn't get them to re-think their rules.............?
As Rick Simons said, they're going to need more than one lesson. In their case it looks like lesson after lesson after lesson after lesson after lesson after lesson after lesson ...
hi, had some strange things happen this week that have made me ponder what on earth is going on with the man made organisation.. 1/ while picking up some train tickets i was approached by a young man with an ipad of sorts who engaged me in a chap and then asked to show me a new website i asked what he was trying to sell or promote he assured me that he was selling nothing the website he showed me was jw.org so i quickly said so you are promoting an organisation with a brand name similar to how a christian would promote jesus and the bible he looked confused but then said yes, so i said that i thought that to be quite shamefull, he froze for a bit and didnt comment so i asked is this new symbol a trade mark of some marketting firm to which he said "no we are jehovahs witnesses" no one else was around so not sure of the "we" but anyway i said if god has given us the bible whats with a website that produces snippets out the bible with an opinion on the meaning he avoided the question and asked me what i believed in so i said my religions leeders dont let me discuss belief with anybody so i obey, listen to them and dont question he said "you have been blessed by j with a brain and freedom of thought to look and question" i said ok but i think its strange that you use a name for god thats perhaps made up by man, blindly follow and dont question a group of self appointed men as well as showing signs of idoatory to an organisation that has pushed jesus to one side, at this he suddenly he had to dash off.
2/ when out shopping i was apprehended by a group of people with a stand giving free literature and promoting the jw.org website so i had had to ask whats with this name change after all these years and are you a similar religion to the catholic church which led to a chat about how the catholic religion is false and how they wickedly have covered up sex abuse!
i didnt bite on this one but asked if birth control was banned in the jw.org religion a lady stepped forward and explained that it was cruel and not biblical to ban contreception i said i had been shown a bit in the bible that gives rise to this ban and she said they(catholic church) dont understand the bible and use it to control and miss inform people so i replied similar to how your organisation bans blood and birthdays by misinterpreting the bible i went on to say that i believe the organisation to be hypocritical, false , cult like and shamefull how it covers up sex abuse i also got in that the organisation had totally corrupted its self with its un membership and also with the sheer amount of false prophecy over its relatively short history at which the senior man at the table politely told me if i wasnt interested in the literature to be on my way and that hopefully i would mature enough to let jehovah into my heart before it was to late and that he felt sorry for me and the people i obviously associated with.

Doc, try http://www.bible.ca/trinity/trinity-jw-deceptions.htm. It's old style and shouty in its defense of the Trinity but it looks like a good resource. (Click on 'non frames version' - better.)
