Your Online Persona
by Xena ini saw a thread recently that asked if you were different from your online persona, most people answered to varying degrees "no".
that made me wonder though how do you view yourself and how do other people view you?
what kind of a person do you feel you project?

i'm in the middle of decorating my new house, and was a bit stuck as to what to use to mask off the furniture/carpets etc until i spotted an oldv pile of watchtowers that i'd been meaning to throw out.
i now have paint spattered watchtowers all over my living room.. anybody else got any good things to use old liturature for?

I left mine at home with my mother. she's probably dumped them by now, thank god. It would be a hoot to go thru them tho, after a few glasses of wine. I'd like to cut out the illustrations and use them to make xmas and thank you cards.

unhappy people "in the truth"?.....All the emotionally and mentally distressed ones? All the miserable gossipers and backbiters that are "Jehovah's happy people"
That was the first thing that bothered me, that JWs were a hypercritical, judgmental lot, and I was just like them.
What shocked me most was how much money the Watchtower Society made, and how much they manipulated people.

Yes, left home with the first guy who showed an interest, an alcoholic drug addict and small time coke dealer.
I couldn't stand living at home. My mom was unstable, one foot in and one foot out of the Borg, and I never knew what way her mood would swing. My father was an abusive drunk and an "unbeliever." I couldn't wait to get away.
I had to be deceitful to leave a$$hole #1, i saved my money and slipped out "like a thief in the night."

JW strangers say mean things to you at assemblies?
by jwbot injw's can be rotten, but what about the "brutally honest" jw strangers at assemblies?
i have had some issues with the general meaness jw's are to people that they do not even know, and are jw's.. example 1: i was maybe 13 years old and i was a fast developer, i had big boobs basically.
well a dress i had was really nice...my parents would not have let me wear something that was not apprepriate for me, but i guess the dress was low (i didn't think so) and when i was in the bathroom at the assembly at the mirror, a woman just came up to me and was like "you are showing all the assets you have to offer" or something to that effect.

jwbot, the same things were said to me, usually by old, scrawny, flat-chested sisters in the congregation, often within earshot of other mean-spirited people who join in. It is hurtful and unnecessary. The only way they can make themselves feel better is by putting down someone else. You can always smile very sweetly, and say "thank you, you look like SH*t too."
A Pio. Sister in my congregation always had to criticize my appearance, especially shoes (too high heeled). I didn't have nice clothes and wore my mom's hand me downs, so i probably did look awful, and i didn't like to iron. In response to her nagging, I wore a new, pressed dress (ankle-length, brown polyester) and flat shoes to field service one day, and she laughed and told me I looked like a school marm.
This fashion adviser Pioneer looked like a dried-out chicken carcass with leathery skin, and always wore beige or brown sack dresses and flat shoes, plus she had hair like a brillo pad, sticking out in all directions. Her comments were nasty and petty, and it was over 20 years ago, but if I still want to rip her little head off and spit down her neck

Vacationing with a Witness
by DevonMcBride inthe end of october i'm going on a 9 day cruise to the caribbean with a group of 70 people.
one of the the travelers is a jw and it will be interesting to see how "worldly" she will behave away from her jw clan.
at our christmas party (that's right she was at our christmas party) she got drunk and she buys christmas presents for her grandchildren who are not jw.

Yes, the memories come back in bits and pieces at first, and then come flooding in and you can't turn them off...
If i had to travel with a JW, I'd be tempted to throw myself overboard. Or him/her.

Did You Make Excuses For The Jehovah's Witness Religion?
by minimus indid you ever find yourself having to defend your faith, while at the same time knowing, that your arguments were not so good to begin with?
for example, a person might say,"you people don't take blood and believe in doctors.
" even if we might have doubts about the blood issue, we would still defend our "faith" as best as we could.

wednesday- sounds like you and me went to the same school.
My 4th grade teacher (a real b*tch) actually started coming to the KH. The mom of one of her students converted her.

...and then you can come back on the board and correct everyone's grammar, like some pain-in-the-ass English teacher
just kiddin'
