these differ from religious beliefs in that they are distorted and rigidly held beliefs which would be rejected by other of the same religious persuasion, though they have their initial origin in orthodox religious beliefs.
the patient may announce that he is the recipient of divine messages or revelations and that he is to save the world, perhaps describing himself as the new messiah.
the road to salvation may unfortunately be paved by rather odd practices.

i posted here a couple of months ago when the site had a little different format.
there was an area for newbies with concerns and that's where i lurked.
i have been in the "truth" for about 30 years.
hi sista, welcome.
I think alot of us here have been in the same boat as you are, guilt is one of the worst weapons used against us.
you are not a bad person for asking questions or seeking knowledge. You are allowed to serve Jehovah or any
god you want to without belonging to an organisation. It has taken me a long time to realise that. We are not bad
people on this site, we are able to relate to eachother..thats all. The word apostate is merley a label. You are
very strong and you need to do what is right for you, not anyone else. Good luck in your move and your fade,
i know how difficult it is to have your family still in. ((((hugs))))
i use to think that going door to door had its hazardous moments, but the time i was bitten by a dog wow.
that was scary.
i still can't figure out why the mutt bit me as i love animals.
I've been chased, barked at and even jumped on.. but never bit. All while out on service of course.
My dad has ben bit before, and i remember he hit the dog with his breifcase, and the owner came out
with a shot gun.. strangly enough he took the magazines. LOL

someone posted a bid greater than mine in the last five seconds which prevented me from making a counter bid.
if you are wondering, that is the book where the wts talks about how much they loved the nazis and what their goals were.. hitler got everything out of the wts that he wanted and then turned on them... hence all of the concentration camp stories you hear jehover witnesses crying about.. why would hitler do this?
i don't know... ask stalin... hitler did it to him and russia too!.
Dont you hate it when that happens! I sure would like to see that book.
I wonder if the WTBTS are the one's that bid higher at the last minute to keep it out of the hands
of people like us. LOL
Better luck next time!

as some of you on the board knew i was expecting a baby, i feel i should let you know that things have not worked out for us.. when i went for the 20 week ultrasound scan last thursday, severe problems were found with our baby's internal development.
only one kidney was detected, and it was very enlarged and polycystic.
there was no long term hope for the baby at all; if it survived to full term it could only live for hours at most.
I am so sorry, you are showing such streigth right now.
I dont have the words, but i know what it is like to lose a child as well.
Its wonderful to have your husband their with you for comfort. I truly am so sorry.

jobs.
This is just SICK!!! i cant beleive that they would reinstate him or allow him in a congregation, someone this dangerous.
Im sorry about your brother Avishai, i hope he is doing ok.
This does not surprise me though, the "brother" the molested me is still in the same congregation with privleges and doing
fine, while i still struggle. Isint it so nice, the love they show him.
.
one of my co-workers asked me that and i realized that i haven't made any plans for anything.
We leave on Tuesday, spending Christmas in Dallas with my husbands family, It will be the first time they are all together
in about 20 years, so will also be a family reunion. I am expecting it to be a little crazy, but FUN!
Anyone know what i can expect wheather wise in Dallas? I just love Dallas, cant wait to go.
boy!
(passes out fine cigars to all that want one).
we are 5 months along and due may 8th.
AWW!!!! Congratualtions!!!
Is he your first?
Our first is a boy, and i just love having a boy. I was raised around all girls so had no idea how to raise a boy. Now that he is
turning 3, its been one fun day after another.
Good Luck!
i called them and told the elders to not come to my house anymore.
i said i didn't want anyone from the kingdom hall to call on me.
to call on my the sisters not anyone.
This is getting insane, you must have put in lots of hours in the past to get this sort of attention. LOL!!!
This doesnt surprise me in the least, something similar happend to my sister. She was starting the fade, and one day some jw's
came to her door and kept knocking and knocking, then pounding on the door. Then my sister realized the door was unlocked, so
as she bolted for the door to lean up against it, they started to come in. They kept pushing on the door trying to force it open and
my sister kept pushing on the door trying to keep it closed. It was seriously like some deranged cartoon. They ended up giving up
and left, but she could not beleive that they did that. So, if they would go this far, i can just imagine the extremes they would go
through to get to trap you into a converstation. Your doing the right thing by making your calls and getting them to stop, otherwise
it will never end. Take care sweetie, I will call you soon, ok!

the thread about jael got me to thinking about all the biblical names i heard from witness children.. jael, barak, elisha, elijah, noah, matthew,.
anyone else remember new babies coming into the world and being given "biblical" names?
i thought it was hilarious when there was baby noah.
My husband and I are not religious people at all, but we named our son Joshua. We just love that name. My cousin who is also an
ex-witness named her newborn Elijah. I almost thought she was going to meetings again, since she is a sentimental type of person,
but thats not the case. Its just something about the sound of the names i think.
