Keep in mind that rural halls may only have 1 congregation due to long distances between towns.

How much did the other countries pay for the 1000 kingdom halls in the philippines!
by StephaneLaliberte inref: http://www.jw.org/en/jehovahs-witnesses/activities/construction/1000-kingdom-halls-philippines/.
while looking at the article one thousand kingdom halls and counting on jw.org, it immediately made me think: ahhh, this is where a large portion of the funds for the construction projects must go.
clearly, the philippinos are all poor and they need the financial support of richer countries.

Thanks all! This has been a big help. I'm going to take it slow and not bombard her with facts I have learned. Thanks Billy for the links. I quickly skimmed them and I need to read them throughly, lots of good info.

Born in here and have been awake to TTATT for 3 months now and keeping it to myself is killing me. I do not want to DA as I have many close friends and family in.
I'm note sure how the wife will take it. We have been inactive for months now, both discouraged. I do not want to force her to quit, she can investigate and learn things on her own. So really I'm wondering what approach is best. Come full out or subtlw hints? Or say I'm having problems with some of the teachings and praying about it? She may join me or it may be a marriage ender. Thanks.

I know this theory is out there, but I think this is all leading up to direct debit 'donations' in first world countries. I would bet that soon the R&F will be directed to setup an online account with jw dot org to submit a recurring debit from their bank accounts. They will label this as 'simplifying', such as the donation arrangement, no food at assemblies, etc.

Is this new donation arrangement for real?
by nugget injust read a post on jwsurvey about the new donation arrangement.
congregations are to pledge a monthly amount to be sent to the society to fund the building of assembly halls and kingdom halls.
congregations who already have a loan from the society will no longer have to pay back the loan but the amount pledged should not be less than the current monthly repayments to the society.

Should be interesting to hear when read. I'm debating putting down an outrageous amount or zero on the survey.

Letter to BOE: Adjustment in process for appointing elders and ministerial servants
by pixel inhello, you read it here first!.
governing body of jehovah's witnesses.
to all congregations.

I think people are missing the point that this letter now gives the CO power to remove any elder or ms, without explanation. Have a disagreement with the CO, removed. Look at the CO funny, removed. Don't give the CO a green handshake, removed. Don't have the right food when the CO comes for supper, removed.

What gets my attention is the CO now can delete an elder without input from the body. It can weed the stubborn ones and place more company men.

Looking for BOE letter regarding DF'd at memorial
by Dutchdelight inlast year i decided to attend the memorial.
i came in last minute and ended up sitting at the end of the row.
when the symbols were passed out they skipped me and gave to the person next to me.

I believe this has been busted. Had a df'd person at our memorial and was seated on the aisle. The server was a 20 year+ elder and the elder still served the emblems to the df'd person. Maybe this was done back in Crazy Freddy's day but seems to be phased out now.

Misappropriation of funds (Project for an Assembly Hall in Guadalajara)
by avaddohn94 inat the extj.com forum, a very serious scandal is being discussed regarding a potential misappropriation of funds by mexico's branch.. http://www.extj.com/showthread.php?24740-denuncia--quot-proyecto-fantasma-quot-salon-de-asambleas-de-guadalajara-o-robo-de-fondos.
though the situation may not be quite uncommon, below you will find an overview:.
a member of mexico's branch committee went to guadalajara to inform the brothers that a plot of land had been donated for the construction of an assembly hall.

This does not surprise me. I am currently fading in a country that is under control of the Mexico branch. My opinion, this project probably would have gone ahead if Mexico did not take over all of Central America, which happened 4 years ago.
Side note. I could not believe the ineptitude of the Mexico RBC when we built our KH in our locale. Food was only provided for RBC witnesses. Local brothers had to bring thier own food or watch the RBCers pig out. Was shocked to see the elders of our cong dig in and eat, while the poor local brothers were salivating. In Latino countries, it's all about nepotism and machismo.

JW vs Jehovah's Witnesses
by Da.Furious inapologies if this was discussed earlier.
i tried to search for a similar topic but couldnt find one.. anyway, i am an active jw or is it jehovah's witness?.
recently i noticed a trend, mainly found between teenagers and older techie brothers, of referring to themselves as jws.

Growing up it was disrespectful to say JW.
