the new "business plan" for jw.org in europe has already received a name within the org: european prospective 2017-2022.. this plan is already on the table of the big guys in the us.

in the practice it has been already getting the approval of the majority.

so, no surprise at all to vote it.. essential features of the "business plan":- sale of all branches in the eu, except germany and uk (the latter benefits from brexit and certain privileged position)- all printing and digital material prepared and printed from germany- in each country, a local liaison office is left, certainly no more than 3-4 families.- free part-time worker is boosted from home, cheaper and hastle-free !- money to the new entity formed in belgium, as a non-profit organization (ibsa goodbye ...)- the most complicated ... who will care for the data of european jw ... confidential information and color envelopped with sensitive information.... enjoy the new european jw times !.

The new entity in Belgium is a non-profit association of European JW. This new entity is Belgium will help them to continue with a non-profit status, as they see the charity status in UK in danger. I have my personal opinion with the changes, I feel many of them have been sourced in LDS (Mormons), so I feel that some consulting firms might have checked on how other cults or religion has changed recently and they copied.

The only link we have been able to confirmed is the commercial one, I don't think both companies are linked in another way, or if the business is JW owned.

Another preaching cart is on study, Multimedia preaching cart, including the area to display a tablet and the way to arrange the Internet connection for the device.

Volunteer workers pushed to renounce to their social rights

surprisingly in spain, a large quantity of bethel volunteers (nice to words to say workers) have received their letter telling they are not anymore required.

in this country, government obliged bethel to give social rights such as basic social security (doctors, etc..) to the volunteers as they understand that it is a business relationship.. all of them have been pushed to sign a letter stating they renounce to their work and then go outside bethel with not a single right (unemployment, etc...).

it is really unfortunately but silly from bethel office to arrange it this way.

JWdaugther, many Bethelites asked for legal help to some friends, among them some apostates...

The government is ready to help them, but they need at least to have one complaint filed. After more than 2 week, NO Bethelite was ready to do it !

would jw survive in this country??

Update on this subject...

Few months after denying it, the fact is that two Assembly Hall are publicly "For Sale".

Now everybody looks happy for the news... They heard about a new project of Assembly Hall including new facilities.

All assembly halls sold in the past 5 years plus current ones to be sold may do around 6-7 Millions €. All of them were doing good to continue to be used for assemblies, but they decided to sell them. One of them was sold to Filipino cult "Iglesia de Cristo" and another one has been offered to the local Muslim community.

The new location almost ready to be used has a value of 7-8 Millions €. So they can pay the new location. Anyhow the Spanish branch decided to launch a donation scheme... 10 € a month for each publisher during 5 years. They sold the idea that the new location cost less than a coffee per day.

The expensive price of the local lawyers has not stopped the current situation of JW in Russia.

The recent letter specifying all Russian JW about how to "preach" now there is amazing. Please continue to spread the word only with the Bible and please do not link this with an organised activity if you are summoned by officials....

Their system to fire off Bethelites continue in force but in a more systemised and "arranged" way.

When they are informed about their exit, they are asked to sign a declaration as they are request Bethel to leave, leaving them in fact with no grounds for a judicial claim.

Together with this, they receive their "exit package". We might think it might be a compensation payment. At all...

Their "exit package" consist of a list of different social benefits available for them and a phone number of a agency. This agency made up by JW takes care to request all the available social benefits in behalf of them.

Many are accepting this "arrangement" as a loving care from Jah, when the fact is that they are get laid off almost at no cost.

Service Department can be reduced very much using fully Internet and computer technologies. New appointments will be digital...

Translation office will reduced as much as a full time coordinator and all the other work will be shared by part-timer "helpers" working from their home. Much less expensive.

Such an impressive growth. They are turning out to be a low-cost cult.

I know a few places where a rebellion will take place: Spain, Italy and Portuguese Bethels...

Spain Bethel can be sold very easily to a University. It makes a perfect small campus. Many will ponder now if they last 5-10 years in the Org will be useful. They will be moved to leave without compensation !
