  If you are thinking about "Stepping Down" you better do it QUICK!

  the new arrangement for co's to handle deletions (and appointments) means you no longer will be able to give your friends on the body an excuse and step down.

  you will have to answer to the co and most likely have a long uncomfortable chat about everything with him in order to step down.

  so if you have been thinking about stepping down, you need to do it quick before the new arrangement..

  That's fine....I want out of my "position" anyway!

  So if I just dont volunteer to work with the CO, or have them over for a meal, or bow at his feet...then that will be the outcome?

  Are we all actually "bad / evil / immoral" after leaving the faith?

  so recently there have been several posts with references to talks and articles that imply the following:.

  most of those who learn ttatt or fade from the "truth", are actually practicers of bad things, eg immorality, hence that is why 'we' now find fault with the org?.

  i find this so offensive that they imply such.

  What happens to marriages upon the arrival of Armageddon?

  a couple of paradise earth questions: .

  1) if you are a married, baptized witness couple (both people being baptized) and armageddon arrives, will the couple still be married on paradise earthtm?

  2) if you are married to an unbelieving mate (ubm) and armageddon arrives, will the witness be free to remarry on paradise earth?.

  So the new world will have the following groups:

  1) couples who are really passionatley inflamed with one another (at first...till it wears off) and keep bonking so they have smiles on their faces everyday while gardening in the panda paradise etc...

  2) couples who are frustrated that they are stuck with their mis-matched partners simply "because they ticked the right boxes" according the the religion but there was never any chemistry. They never have sex, and therefore are grumpy and bores to be around

  3) singles who are not married and are just plain wierd...(losers if you like) that couldnt find a match if they tried.

  SO, JUST LIKE EVERY CURRENT CONG OF JW's THEN????

  Laika you mentioned that children born in the new world can marry?

  I havent seen that one before...

  I always thought that there will not be children born in the new world?

  (Of course all of this is based on stupid premises to begin with)

  I find this so offensive that they imply such. It means that no one can have doctrinal doubts, or disgreements with practices of the ORG and not have their character or personality questioned by everyone else!

  This in turn can contriute to the guilt felt or the distrust dished out...

  So, my question is, How many of us were / are in fact "carrying on in sin" of some sort as they imply??

  (this is a rhetorical question...dont feel you have to actually tell us specifics)

  so, the circuit overseer can hire and fire anybody he wants, right?.

  he can appoint brother sycophant and brother brownnose and tell them he wants to see a thousand bucks a month in contributions sent to hq.. they go along with this.

  next thing you know, donations drop and the co tells them "sell the hall and send the money to the society".

  Improving your memory

  i have never had teaching on memory, i have never really had any advice given to me on memory, but i think it is something we would all benefit from knowing, even at a young age.

  as we know how our brains make connections now, it seems a missed resource that they don't overtly teach memory methods in school to suit our anatomy and physiology.. anyway, for those that are interested in discussing it and have sought out your own methods, i am interested to hear them!!!.

  everyone has slightly different memorising techniques, i am a very visual learner and i have a very visual memory.

  within the last few hours, two separate posters, watchtower87 and pixel, independently posted news of a april 22nd, 2014 letter to the boe regarding a change in how elders are to be appointed and deleted:.

  boe - pdf - confidential 2014-04-22 adjustment in process for appointing elders and minisletter to boe: adjustment in process for appointing elders and ministerial servantswhat i found very interesting is the letterhead and the signature.

  they are both from "the governing body of jehovah's witnesses" and not from "the christian congregation of jehovah's witnesses.".

  The more I think of it, I actually like the fact that they have removed the word "christian" from the name of the 'corporation'...

  It shows the "cult-like" condition even more......

  Maybe its just a little step further to helping JW people see that they worship the GB not christ or god....????
