  Why didn't Jehovah destroy the polygamists just as he did the Sodomites?

  according to jehovah's witnesses, both gays and polygamists are fornicators, why spear one and not the other?.

  "in old age jacob admitted that his lifeincluding his domestic affairshad been distressing.

  (genesis 47:9) doubtless, life had been distressing for leah and rachel as well.

  Has Anyone Heard Whether The New JW Bible Is Liked As Much As The Old One?

  my mom told me that she, my brother and his wife really didn't like this new bible.. when i asked her why, she said they dropped the headings on the top of the pages and that just wasn't as good.. have you heard any pros and cons about the new good book?.

  They all love the first section to use in the ministry!

  It kinda has more appeal that the actual bible text to the average witness...makes service easier cos they dont have to think of things to say...just turn to an opening section and regurgitate the bullet points

  "The end will come when you least expect it"

  ok, so didnt jesus supposedly say "the end will come when you least expect it"?

  (or words to that effect...).

  so, with so many witnesses running around in an excited way talking about "100 years since the kingdom...etc" and "it may be our last chance to pioneer etc"..."may be the last international conventions".....doesnt this mean then that the end can not come now??!!.

  up until 5 years ago, the co used to work up their own parts for specfic congregations in their circuits.

  everything is up to script, in other words, every co in the country are givings the same talks in the local congregations they visit.

  what got me to cringe is when he said at the meeting, trying to encourage everyone to pioneer this august; he said :" you know this october it will be 100 years since gods kingdom began ruling, remember what happen when joshua told the israelites to march around jericho on the seventh day, and what happened when they let out a great war cry?

  It is supposed to come when they LEAST expect it!...NOT when they are running around EXPECTING IT!

  so the next time you are in a group of witnesses and discussion about a sad event where people died occurs (such as a car accident, natural disaster etc), just casually say:.

  " oh well, that's a few less people jehovah has to kill at armageddon.....so don't be upset!...at least they now get a resurrection".

  that will make witnesses think!.

  Congregation Pledge Disgusted Elder

  at the meeting the other night, the elder who had to read the announcements, which included the $$ info for the new donation arrangement seemed downright disgusted as he read the announcements and asked for the vote.

  he said, "well, here is another organizational change" as he read the letter about the discontinuation of the 2nd meeting during co visit.

  then after they voted, he said if you have any questions ask this other elder as if he wanted nothing to do with it.
