  his employer demands that he change his working pattern such that it conflicts with his being able to attend wt meetings at the weekend.

  the brother decides not to yield to his employer’s demand and is thus dismissed.. the brother seeks for work very actively over a significant period but without any alternative being found.

  as we know, every month on the "official broadcasting" presentation, a new "music video" is presented.. can these possibly be any more cringe-worthy??.

  the words, music, singing are so, so bad....i mean, so bad!.

  surely witnesses are not so stupid that they don't harbor secret feelings of awkwardness when they see these?.

  To clarify, I am not referring to the actual "kingdom songs" sung at the meetings.... (although they are bad enough)

  I am referring to those Music Videos shown at the end of each month's broadcast...

  the whole world is rigged, whether its religious tribunals or local police enforcement, those who are paid by god or government are the enforcers .

  should you talk to elders... well imagine that brooklyn had ordered these men to df anyone who says anything against the slave.

  do you stand a chance , religious zealots are the most ruthless throughout history, look into it , it's scary to think we believed a magazine that we thought came from god .

  i wasn't aware it was still practiced.

  i would like to know how it is explained as being in any way scriptural.

  The reality is, this happens after elders deliberately spread malicious and slanderous mis-truths, or embellished stories about the "accused" amongst the flock.

  Then, the ever present and powerful "gossip-mill" goes into overdrive until every last person has heard that "bro or sis so-and-so are not to be associated with...."

  Been there...seen that...felt that.

  Why let facts or truths get in the way of or affect a good old gossip??

  about 5 years ago when i was in, my son who at the time was 18 needed somewhere to sleep for a couple of nights due to work commitments ,in a city 2 hours from home.

  my "best man" who is an elder that lives in this city , was asked could my son stay a couple of nights .

  the response was he doesn't go to meetings anymore ,he can't stay here , i ask can he sleep on garage floor instead , still can't stay .

  in paragraph 2 of this study, the gbojw evidences once again that they are sticking to the absurd 1914 doctrine – “when the last days of the present system began...”.

  i noted that as 2014 approached, the gbojw became somewhat reticent about making reference to revelation 12:12 – the “short period of time” scripture.

  so this study is the first one in a long time in which both the 1914 doctrine and revelation 12:12 are mentioned in the same study.

  There is NO room for even a polite observation or comment that varies from the GB directives without being maligned and labelled as a "rebellious one!" And yet, if the GB changes it's mind on something, we all must change too!

  i'm not able to find a list of moderators.

  from browsing the forum news & announcements section, it appeared to me that the user, simon, is either the admin of this website or a forum moderator.. i sent simon a message 2 days ago and did not receive a response and the forum post in question has not been removed.

  then i sent simon another message 8 hours ago and did not receive a response and the forum post in question has not been removed.. who else can i contact to have an old embarrassing 11 year old forum post removed?.

  I have realised that our presence here is a privilege, and that the history of our posts shows the journey we have travelled.

  Yes, some things from the past might be embarrassing or no longer in line with how we feel now, but that reflects the journey of life....At one point I also was keen to have my history here wiped...until I realised that was not really possible. Embrace your past. It makes you who you are today.

  As Blondie said, the reality is, no one would even notice such an old post....until you now bring attention to it.
