The BEST thing the society ever did was go online!
It is ONLY one or two clicks away from the TRUTH about the truth.....
a local elder had the part this week on the "good news" brochure.
he said: "if the householder has any questions, direct them to jw.org, don't say, just look up jehovah's witnesses on the internet(an older sister said this at the door), if you do they will be directed to a site visited by apostates and weak witnesses!
" "this mistake, would cause the householder to never accept bible truth".. i thought to myself, wow, i'm sure some listening to this part, will get curious now(many in the hall are just being exposed to the internet, and practicing with their new tablets) and do, just what they were told not to do..

i am new hear to the board.
i want to share my story to you all.. i was a born-in jw, baptized at a very young age, pioneered, woke up three years ago, disassociated last year, i am twenty years of age now.
shunned by all my friends in the org.. please show me some love and share some of your experiences with me.
Welcome!
Please feel free to share in discussions here. This is a safe place, full of people who understand the situation you are in.
Without giving away details that may identify you, please share some more info about yourself?
What part of the world are you in?
shocking video from jw.org shows the "new light" that there was no slave class handing out spiritual food for 1900 years!!
so the original governing body became apostate and fell apart.
charles russell re-started the faithful slave even though the watchtower admits he learned everything he ever knew from the "second adventists".
They are certainly demonstrating the "faithful and DISCREET" part of their description! (sarcasm alert)
The level of arrogance is mind blowing for them to say that only the current GB is actually the FDS!
I mean, I don't believe that the society was EVER "chosen by God", but for them to just wipe away the last 100 years of "spiritual leadership" is just preposterous! The current crop of leadership is simply a continuation of the last 120 odd years!
Haha Zappa!
So if they are the 7dwarves, then I propose:
Grumpy : ToMo3
Dopey: Lett
Bashful: Sanderson
Sleepy: Losch
Doc: Herd
Happy: Splane
Sleezy: Jackson

I would also assume though that she was paid for her appearance on the TV show, and the newspaper article!
If not paid, then she at least had to agree to have the filming take place?
So she KNEW what was going on the whole time! To play ignorant was just foolish.
someone suggested i would address a letter not only to mr. angus stewart, but also to the royal commission as well.
it merges the two subjects on the same letter (inactive status and shunning; two witness rule), and adds some things more that what i said to mr. stewart.
it's a bit long, please bear with me.. --------------------------------------- .
Well done Eden!
I also contacted the ARC and discussed several of the points.
They were SO nice to speak with, and took the observations very seriously. I drew their attention to the 2016 convention videos and the november broadcast about how they view "worldly" ones and those who leave...
They took notes of the references, and immediately followed the links to the official videos of the society!
My respect for the people involved in the ARC is so high!
this is the email i have just sent to mr. stewart angus, who has been conducting the questioning of the jw leaders during the australian royal commission dealing with child abuse cases among the jehovah's witnesses, concerning the claims made that a jehovah witness who wishes to walk away from the organization can simply become inactive and avoid being shunned:.
dear mr. angus stewart,
i have followed with interest the videos of the arc regarding the jehovah's witnesses in australia.
Well done Eden!

hi, everyone.. i haven't posted here much in quite a while, but having just been laid low by injury, i'll likely be a frequent visitor for some time to come!.
two weeks ago, i was involved in a workplace accident that left me with my lower l.h.
leg fractured in three places (the tibia and fibular both broken clean through, plus another crack in the "neck" of the fibular for good measure!
Much love to you mate!
We share your pain.
besides the email message to mr. angus stewart that i have posted on the other thread, i have send him the following email regarding the two-witness rule and the claims it can't be changed because it's "bible-based":.
"dear mr. angus steward,.
i would like to draw your attention to another aspect of the arguments presented by the leadership of the jehovah's witness, in this case regarding the "two witness rule" and the duty to report to secular authorities.
Well done Eden!

i don’t remember having any invisible friends when i was a really little boy, i don’t know if such a thing actually exists, i’ve only ever seen it in movies?
of course it might have looked to others like i was talking to someone on occasions, but i’m sure it would have just been me talking to myself.
the thing is though, i got introduced to an invisible friend in my pre-teens, and i kept the relationship going well into adulthood.
Great thread doubtfull1799!
Yes indeed, praying, or wishing for divine intervention to resolve the issues in life is simply a way to "outsource" responsibility.
Relying on an imaginary divine friend, no matter how sincerely we believe or wish him to be there, doesn't ensure his existence.
I have found that witnesses, (myself included) simply took no interest in the world around us, or responsibility for it, because we could just "rely on God's Kingdom" to fix everything!
