Yes, why hasn't the Society ever provided an honest explanation of their UN affiliation rather than some white washed excuse?

Why is it that they have gone to great lengths to make all older publications "disappear" from circulation?

Yes, re-writing of history is anything but honest....

russian jw mr novik is shown in full view on jw org wearing the "parental glory" badge with its prominent cross pattee on his lapel - and not one word of caution is sounded.

similarly, jw forums are abuzz singing the praises of mr and mrs novik and their brood after they received the parental glory honor from no less than jw-oppressor, mr putin.. from the stinking gb heaven all the way down to the dusty rank and file, the hypocrisy is sky-high.

The society is acting like media whores. Just out for attention and the media and social currency this publicity gives them.

So what? The family popped out lots of kids?! It is cold in Russia after all.

BUT, why is it only a one way street? Why is the Society not truthful and honest with witnesses? Why are scandals kept quite, and past falsehoods not shared? Why are witnesses not told of the uncomfortable history? Why is it that ones can be appointed in capacities such as elder, and have the responsibility to take the lead, and yet they are ignorant of the very organisation they are taking the lead in?

The society is boasting about this award etc.

But I can't wait for the time when many of these kids from that family leave "the truth" (because statistically they will). Will JW.org be so keen to report that??

hello everyone, it's been a while since i've posted anything on here so i thought i might give an update.

next month i turn 18 and my mom is constantly berating me about getting baptized, so much so that my siblings have even told her to stop.

ive just been flat out telling her no which i know is irritating her.

Hello. Thanks for sharing your update.

You have been wise in saving up money and planning for places to move to.

Contacting other releatives is a good move too. Ensure that those relatives can be trusted to support you unconditionally if you move out from your parents. Also make sure those relatives know the reason for your parents making you leave was because of releigious differences.

Be cautious as to the friendship group you draw closer to once you leave. It is better to be a loner that get mixed up in the wrong group.

God of the Old Testament

to those on these forums who are christian and or to those who believe in the god of the old testament; how does one overcome many of the questionable actions god took or allowed to happen in the old testament?.

many if not most of us have heard of criticisms of the god of the old testament.

you can find these criticisms on many websites.. how do you explain to an honest hearted person why god acted the way they did?.

Basically, if a person today acted in the manner "yaweh" or "god" did, he would be condemned as a criminal and punished...NOT praised.
