  Question for those who went to the RC

  i'm just curious with all the happy clapping that is now going on with the singing at the conventions.

  what has been the reaction to it with the r&f.

  has anyone ever commented that it reminded them of a pentecostal revival meeting.

  Slightly off topic, but the last convention we attended was the 2014 international at Melbourne in a large sporting stadium

  The session finished with many "Mexican waves" going around the stadium, along with dozens of large banners with slogans like "see you in paradise" and other corny expressions!

  So, as has been said, (frog in boiling water), this gradual change shows that anything is possible.

  Who would ever have thought there would be songs with "karaoke" style lyrics on large screens in every venue and Kingdom Hall?

  Our new yearly "regional convention"

  so unstuck and myself have decided to attend a different kind of yearly convention!.

  it should be fun!.

  just think, anything that helps us using our "powers of reason" (romans 12:1) is approved by the bible isn't it??

  My mums dying she refuses blood transfusion...the horror.

  mum has a mild form of lukeimia if she took blood like normal people she could live to be 100. but no, anointed sisters dont compromise jehovah wont allow it.

  so here i am moving to sydney for one month going to hospital everyday putting my life on hold to watch my mother die slowly.

  watching her gasp for air, struggle to breath.

  i was just updating the libsyn plugin, as libsyn hosts my podcasts, and suddenly there were "internal server errors" and i got the following message:.

  What Simon said!

  It was always a monumental "show off" for all involved.

  The ones who were "chosen" to hand the books out were the "spiritual youth" who got to claim bragging rights.

  Then as Simon said, the clamouring to get the books first was mind blowing in the stupidity!

  The hype the GB created was always uncomfortable.

  When I was in Bethel, the new releases were even in a sectioned off area of the Shipping dept that was restricted so that no "ordinary non approved" bethelite could see the books before the convention!

  no doubt we are all overjoyed at how we have progressed since breaking the shackles of the society!.

  for those that have been here on this forum for some time, have you ever looked back at the version of "you" that first started posting here, and compared yourself with where you are at now?.

  i am overjoyed at how much i have grown as a person!.
