Haha unstuck! That reminds me of a written report that said someone was in a comma.
I guess in a way that patient was pausing for a while though....😉

Hello Again
by everbrighterhal ini'm sorry if this is in the wrong category!
i am formerly adimmedlight, or something close to that.
i have been lurking here a few years now and while i did make an account before, i used a fake email (i no longer remember it, since it was made only to log in the one time i posted.. )because i was so paranoid people in my home town would discover me and "out" me.

I reckon that stage is reached like a light switch. One day you just wake up and say "stuff this!, I HAVE NOT DONE ANYTHING WRONG, so why should I be afraid of the Society and its procedures. THEY have been the dishonest ones...NOT me"

A little critique/commentary on the first of the new Public Watchtowers (No.1 2018) - Corrections and additions welcomed
by doubtfull1799 in“all scripture is inspired of god and beneficial.”—2 timothy 3:16.”.
what/which scripture was paul referring to?
how is it possible to know with any certainty without being speculative or dogmatic?

The end of an era ......
by snare&racket ini have written some time ago, about how the religion i grew up in no longer exists.
i was an 80’s jw kid who became a pioneer then a bethelite.

What would Russell or Rutherford think of this Religion now I wonder?
Of course they are dead so we can't ask them...or ARE they?!? Maybe they are in their post up in heaven as 144000 rulers, and are directing this new fangled religion?😉

Great post!
Yes, it really seemed to go downhill and change rapidly from about 2012/2013 when they went online, and became televangelist whores!

Welcome!
Yes, once we reach that stage of not giving a damn about the witness labels of DF, DA etc, we have reached a powerful level!

Implications of gender and racial imbalance in JW population.
by doubtfull1799 inthis was inspired by a recent post by nike and the comments that followed re gender balance in the org.
if jw's accept the concept that the gb continue to push - that people only become believers if they are "rightly disposed" and are thereby "drawn by god.".
then given the huge gender imbalance and also the huge differences in percentages of jw in some lands vss others only two things can possible follow from that:.

Yes, great thread!
I can remember saying to my father once that Jehovah may not be impartial, as he clearly is drawing more people from certain sections of the world, but almost ignoring whole swathes of the population!
He just couldn't see what I was saying!

Unbelievable KMS example
by Saltheart Foamfollower ini've been to the kingdom ministry school (for elders) recently and can report that it is mostly the usual mix of cliches and platitudes.
several letters where basically just read through one line at a time.
one point early on though almost made me laugh out loud.

Ah yes ttdtt, THAT CO visit with elders and servants! Wasn't that the outline that also went into detail and discussed that "pornography showing 2 women is bad, but not in the same league as other forms of pornography"
I remember thinking how odd it was that they were now stipulating types of porn!
