The movie did well in portraying what the atmosphere and tensions of the time must have felt like.

Detroit the movie on Netflix anybody seen it ?
by smiddy3 ina movie about the riots in the seventies in the city of detroit but especially with the reason for the riots and the attitude of police and how the nation treated people of colour.
and how they treated them and how the justice system failed them .. based on a true story.
i found it very confronting yet compelling to watch.. humans have a tendency to lump everybody together in the same basket ,however we are not all the same, their is good and bad in every race and culture whether they are black, white or brindle .. anybody seen it and like to comment ?.

April 2018 Broadcast - normal weird stuff

she states that "when thomas and i first learnt that i was pregnant, we were both really shocked" she doesn't explain why they were both really shocked but it seems an odd reaction unless they were using the safest contraception invented or hadn't been told about the bird and the bees.two experiences that touched the heart of gb sanderson were as follows -.
in russia a jw was jailed for 6 months, the jailers did everything to try to undermine his faith, which included violence.

How to "turn the tables" on still-in witness who pry about our status.
by stuckinarut2 inso many of us have had (perhaps well-meaning) jws ask us questions about our inactivity, or lack of attendance at meetings.
they may pry about why..... how is this for a simple, yet straight to the point response?
to a sincere person, it may play on their mind and make them ask more questions.

How is this for a simple, yet straight to the point response? To a sincere person, it may play on their mind and make them ask more questions. To a fully in indoctrinated pious JW, it stops them dead in their tracks and makes a point:
"Thanks, but my God-given Bible trained conscience doesn't allow me to associate, now that I know a multitude of disturbing facts"

The right to record your judicial committee meeting
by UnshackleTheChains inok.. we have often heard secret recordings online of jc hearings.
but, what i would like to know is if individuals are entitled to the right of officially recording their judicial hearings?.
supposing i was to attend a judicial committee and i explained up front that i would like to record the proceedings and then place a dictaphone on the table.

Or just lie.
When I was asked if I was recording it, I simply said "why would you ask that?", and kept the recorder going....
They may have assumed that I said no.

by neat blue dog inthen there was family day which had an enormous turnout, with guests getting live entertainment, dancing and a dj.
they said that next time they'll cut back and not invite guests.. .

Traditionally, Bethel homes have an annual "family day" which is an in house day or evening of performances by bethel family members.
Some sing, some dance, some play instruments, some do in house comedy etc...
It is supposed to be a morale boosting fun time for bethelites only. NO RECORDINGS OR PHOTOS were ever permitted to be shown to those outside of bethel.
