  A new podcast episode, and a new book by an ex-JW

  a new podcast interview, and a new book, on episode 15 of the "shunned" podcast.. .

  jason grew up in amish country but was raised in the cult of jehovah’s witnesses.

  this story has cars hidden in the woods for a getaway, living on boats, time spent in rehab, a jw group of “lost boys” that were dealing drugs, just your average story of leaving a cult.

  The Children Act - Emma Thompson - advertised on ITV One - prime time.

  as you probably know "the children act" is a film starring emma thompson as a high court judge deciding whether or not to transfuse a teen jw.

  it is due to be on general release in the uk on august 24th 2018. september 14th usa.. its shortened trailer is being advertised in the uk on the biggest independent tv channel - namely itv - at prime time.

  just seen it in advertisment breaks between 6pm and 7pm uk time.. thought you might like to know..

  COs demand the same inane adoration that the leader of North Korea does!The crowds of "adoring" people stand clapping for him, (knowing full well that the first to stop clapping will face punishment!).

  No different with COs! If JWs do not gush and fall with adoration at his feet, they will be looked down on by others!

  Laugh at his "jokes", put up with his food alergies, his demands etc....

  Cart work faces headwinds.

  my little bethel bird has whispered in my ear some encouraging news.

  it has been reported to the canadian branch that some witnesses doing cart work had police stop them from carting in public parks.

  the direction sent to the southern ontario congregations is to cease carting until further notice.. this is no joke.. have a jw-free day..

  The hardly ever do the cart work in the centre of our town anymore. (it used to be right near the centre intersection where hundreds of people would pass by)

  Now they just set it up on some deserted walking / bicycle path where no one really passes by! They sit under the trees enjoying a nice day in the park!

  Forgiveness

  if someone does the same things over and over again and says sorry and then does it again and you point out that their apologies don't mean anything anymore, then they accuse you of not being forgiving enough, who is in the wrong?

  (i mean as in constantly over a long period of time).

  im trying to work out whether it was just part of the persons mental/ emotional manipulation tactics or whether i have the wrong view and i'm not forgiving enough.

  Congregation Reassignments in Ohio?

  from what i understand, a letter was read this past week in regards to congregation reassignments and that the elders want to meet with people at their homes to tell them where they have been reassigned.

  obviously, this would be due to the merging and dissolution of congregations.

  can anyone confirm this?.

  Think of Orwells 1984: "War is Peace" "Freedom is Slavery" etc...

  So a legal precedent has now been set in Australia for all high ranking officials who did not report child abuse to police.

  Watch out Branch committed and local Elders! You may be next!

  yep the convention is upon us.

  i know by the sol apparent in the household.. yes jehovahs people are the happiest people.. not.. we went out for afternoon tea today and silence was served well.

  Changing name on organization

  when people hear the name jehovah instead of thinking about god, they think about a religion or organization.

  with all the problems with child abuse and the downhill motion the organization been having.

  do you think they change name of organization?

  Well, with the LOVE they now have for the logo, they may as well just be called jwdotorgs !

  When I grew up, we were scolded if we ever dared to say we were "jaydubs" It was tantamount to blasphemy!

  NOW though, all witnesses are happy to call them selves "jwdotorg"

  So maybe thats the new name?
