  Just watch and see...in the future a "proclaimers" style book will have a picture of this and say it is on par with the classic "advertise advertise advertise" conventions!

  Jws are not supposed to be NATIONALISTIC....right?

  so, 'we' as jws are not supposed to be nationalistic or promote individual countries or cultures over another....isn't that correct?.

  so, why do witnesses love to have "international" conventions where we see delegates all proudly wearing the stereotyped clothing of their native lands?.

  arent witnesses supposed to be part of gods nation, separate from the world, speaking the "pure language"?.

  Why wear all this nationalistic clothing? It doesn't promote unity, it promotes disunity!

  Reading the watchtower boggles the mind

  example:march 2014 wt mentioned how to providing care for the elderly.wait let us go back to the january 2014 wt page 29 p.15 says in part" what about those of you who have made sacrifices to serve jehovah full time,such as:gave up promising careers,successful business,simplify your life,remained unmarried or if married decided to forgo having childern to make yourself available for bethel service,international construction work,circuit work,or missionary service.should you feel that the sacrifices you made were unnecessary or ill-timed?

  not at all!.

  bethel service oh they kicked me out when i got old..and told me to see your timely advice in the march 2014 wt..

  Drama: Not ONE word has failed! Regional Convention 2014

  looks like the borg spent all it's money on hd panels, gigabit internet connections and ipads cause this is by far the lamest and most stupid drama ever in the history of the org!.

  apart from the worse than porn-without-the-porn acting and dialogue, the special effects consist of square painted panels and a crappy blue screen.

  also the lighting looks like it was made using flashlights.. even the die hards we're laughing at it and mentioned how silly it looked.. i envy all of those that aren't attending this "historic 100-years-since-christ's-reign" convention.. .

  Are they that brazen at using wording like that? I mean, seriously.....that is so twisted to try and tell everyone that nothing they ever said failed!

  WT Doctrine, Population rather than Generation

  the watchtower has forced a rather strange interpretation of the word "generation" in order to keep their doctrinal beliefs concerning the year 1914 consistent with the words of jesus "this generation will not pass...".

  however, the watchtower's "overlapping" definition of the word generation is strange and unnatural to common use.

  according to the watchtower, a grandfather, son, and grandson all living at the same time would make up a single generation.

  When does someone ever say "my grandfather and I are of the same generation"?

  Handing in '' Field Service Report '' even if you're very ill.

  my mom has not been to any meetings or participated in field service since august 2013. she cannot walk due to all her medical conditions.

  she is either in bed or sitting in a wheel chair.. our family hired a caretaker monday - friday to help her eat, take her to the bathroom and sit with her in case she needs anything.

  in the evenings and weekends, we have family members take care of her.

  So this focus on numbers makes good people stoop to lying...yes going contrary to their own moral code just to fulfil a stupid demand from the elders!

  I would say that many witnesses lie about their time, then try hard to reconcile these lies with their Christian conscience!

  it's a familiar feeling, not unlike the experience we might have within organised religion.. .

  i never really experienced this within org as i exited when i was a teenager.

  the problems and incongruencies that became apparent during that time seemed simply a result of developing a fully-functioning brain.

  before i dive into the actual write-up of this experience, let me put some things straight.. i have thought long and hard if i should write more about my experiences during the 10+ years at different branches.

  during these years i worked from financial department, service department, home office and different it assignments.

  as you can imagine one sees and hears and reads a lot of stuff going through different stations in different countries.

  Nothing changes...

  While jw official policy and teachings highlight a strong moral code, and reject any such conduct, the reality is that it happens all the time.

  And what is worse, is that when it occurs, it is excused with comments like. "We are imperfect, etc"

  Jwfacts and I were in the Australian bethel, and the stories we can tell are very eye opening indeed.....and very sad......

  so i am, i guess technically an apostate.

  never baptized, family all in and treat me fine since leaving home/wt over 30 years whenever i see them.

  discovered the ttat by reading kingdom of the cults and catching an episode of the john ankerberg show when i was 18.. in the past 4 years i have "helped" two people ( a father and son) get reinstated.
