russian jw mr novik is shown in full view on jw org wearing the "parental glory" badge with its prominent cross pattee on his lapel - and not one word of caution is sounded.
similarly, jw forums are abuzz singing the praises of mr and mrs novik and their brood after they received the parental glory honor from no less than jw-oppressor, mr putin.. from the stinking gb heaven all the way down to the dusty rank and file, the hypocrisy is sky-high.

BUT, why is it only a one way street? Why is the Society not truthful and honest with witnesses? Why are scandals kept quite, and past falsehoods not shared? Why are witnesses not told of the uncomfortable history? Why is it that ones can be appointed in capacities such as elder, and have the responsibility to take the lead, and yet they are ignorant of the very organisation they are taking the lead in?

hello everyone, it's been a while since i've posted anything on here so i thought i might give an update.
next month i turn 18 and my mom is constantly berating me about getting baptized, so much so that my siblings have even told her to stop.
ive just been flat out telling her no which i know is irritating her.

You have been wise in saving up money and planning for places to move to.
Contacting other releatives is a good move too. Ensure that those relatives can be trusted to support you unconditionally if you move out from your parents. Also make sure those relatives know the reason for your parents making you leave was because of releigious differences.
Be cautious as to the friendship group you draw closer to once you leave. It is better to be a loner that get mixed up in the wrong group.

to those on these forums who are christian and or to those who believe in the god of the old testament; how does one overcome many of the questionable actions god took or allowed to happen in the old testament?.
many if not most of us have heard of criticisms of the god of the old testament.
you can find these criticisms on many websites.. how do you explain to an honest hearted person why god acted the way they did?.
Basically, if a person today acted in the manner "yaweh" or "god" did, he would be condemned as a criminal and punished...NOT praised.
apparently going to the kingdom hall and getting out in the door to door ministry is the best way to get over the loss of a loved one.

"True Friends"? haha! What a misleading statement. It should have read "Conditional friends" based on the perceived level of "spirituality" you seem to have!
i like to watch ted talks.. a recent one i watched was "why i left the westboro baptist church" x megan phelps-roper.
i have never heard of this church ever before after all i am in australia.
the talk and all the young woman stated as beliefs and dogma sounded just like the jw minus the noisy demos..
Louis Theroux did some great shows on this church...

As others have wisely said already, RESEARCH, and educate yourself about the JW organisation...and the bible itself.
As you do, you will learn to let go of the FOG, which stands for FEAR, OBLIGATION, GUILT.
All aspects of being raised in a high control group result in us having such FOG deeply ingrained. This is toxic, and needs to be seen for what it is.
