Yes. It was a common thing here too.
I just think they were doing it to create a "team spirit" kind of vibe for the young ones. Kind of a morale booster thing.
Its odd now come to think of it.
there was a co visit in ohio a couple weeks ago.
when he was finishing up his sunday talk he said that he would like if "all the children that are from this congregation, not if you're just visiting, but from this congregation to come on up on the stage right after the meeting because i want to get a picture of you.".
i thought to myself, why?

we just enjoyed a wonderful evening seeing richard dawkins live in sydney.
it was an event to promote his latest book, and was another opportunity to expand our "god given" brains!😜.

The book contains a great section giving credit to Christopher Hitchens too!
Well worth reading.
I would love to post some pics; but I'm too silly to work out how to do so!
i wonder sometimes just how jws try and comprehend what perfect life would really be like if "adam and eve" had not sinned?.
how would we live?
what would the realities be like?
I wonder sometimes just how JWs try and comprehend what perfect life would really be like if "Adam and Eve" had not sinned?
I mean, do they really think it through?
How would we live? What would the realities be like? Sanitation, Health care (because injuries would still occur), Fire brigades, Food supplies, Transportation etc..... the list goes on!
They love to say that things would be wonderful if the original sin did not occur...but HOW EXACTLY would society have functioned??

hi guys!
we are so happy to share with you the interesting story of former jehovah's witnesses member jason droboth.
Well said @wake me!
request for personal data erasure under gdpr refused on clause which says religious organisations can keep records.
the following is in their privacy policy:.
upon receipt of your written request, after you provide sufficient evidence of your identity and enough information to permit us to identify your personal data, the applicable data controller will fairly consider granting the request by balancing the interests of the individual in gaining access to data or correcting or deleting data against the legitimate interests of the organization, including whether granting the request would endanger the organization’s right to religious freedom and practice.
Well, I have submitted an official legal request for my data to be handed over in its entirety. They have 30 days to comply according to the laws of my country....
warning, zeb is having a rant.. i have become so pissed off at jw i bump into who come out with "we have not seen you in ages" and with "we miss you.." my answer is the same "miss me?.
i still live in the same house.".
just recently one sister said she missed my comments and jokes.
Spot on SailAway! Perfectly said. I've had similar situations.....
And Sparrowdown! Haha! Yes, they practically run away from our aposta-cooties.....
a&e has a new show this season called cults and extreme belief.
the second episode will air on 5/29 at 9:00 pm and jehovah's witnesses will be featured.
hopefully they do a good job exposing them for what they really are.
And JWs will cry "apostate driven lies" and "persecution" when that show gets aired....
Yet, they will scoff and mock at all the other groups or faiths being exposed as ridiculous cults! But somehow they will not apply the same critical eye when the parts about JWs come on....
the new releases for the regional convention are out at the borg's page.
but remember, you can not see them unless first you attend....
More hype about nothing.
The GB really do have a gullible audience who will clap and ooh and ahh over the most inane "releases"
witness: yes.
attorney: and what were you doing at that time?
witness: yes, it is possible that he could have been alive and
👍😃
so 9 months before i started pioneering, i had a hot and heavy moment with this player witness who was just trying to string me along and talked to a lot of different girls.
we made out and he grabbed my goodies a few times you know the regular stuff all teens do at least once.
anyways i never saw him again because when i refused to send him nudes he dropped me.
Wow...such inappropriate conduct by that "brother" and those "elders"...but hardly surprising!
Well done for seeing it as the inappropriate conduct that it is, and for breaking away.
Remember: "The only power they have over you, is that which you allow".
Don't play into the games of the power-hungry elders...
