Marriage Advice...

i'm newly married, but i think there's a problem.

i'm just going to go over the morning and say that this is a typical day.

I have to agree with Winston's comments.

A miscarriage to a woman is a "huge issue"....that may be the reason she is over reacting to normal life issues in your marriage.

Communication is a huge reason why most marriages fall apart and dissolve. Remember when you were dating, you probably talked about everything "all time time", that is one of the reasons you both felt so connected.

It may take you saying: "Can I have a date with you? I really miss spending time with you and just talking to you." Be honest and sincere when you say that too.

I recently had to tell Mr. CB that I preferred our relationship before he took his new job (with his new job he spent most of last year away from me...obviously you can't have a healthy relationship when you are not together)....and that I "missed our relationship that we had before he took his new job"...That made him stop and realize what should be "priority"...We both have had a previous marriage (each of our spouses cheated on us and left us). Sometimes we have to say what is on our mind and take the time to preserve our marriage----marriage is hard work.

There was a KH in the Houston area that had to be dissolved because of the wife swapping issues in the early 80's.

Gender Lines

i have just finished reading a book called gender outlaw.

in this book the righter has an opion that gender is based on "moden life" rather then the "human form", ie do you look, act, talk and have the package of a male or female in your current state and even life upbringing - or were we born male or female and that is that.. if we look, act and talk and even have the package of the gender that we insist that we are, does that mean we are male or female ( i say that i am a woman, i have the package of a woman, i look like a woman and i talk like a woman, my drives licence and birth certificate say that im a woman) so what am i ???.

the reason that i am asking this is, i had a visit from a elder (that i have never meet before)and he was talking about my transexuality and the reason i was dfs.

Your parents made a wrong decision based on elders thinking "males" have more status in the WTBS.

The course of your life proved that your doctor at your birth was correct, you always had strong female tendencies. All your documents say you are a woman.

Remember Dateline??

i'm trying to get some comments that active jehovah's witnesses may have heard after dateline aired back on may 28, 2002.

do you remember any comments made about the dateline program either made from the platform at the kingdom hall, or in private conversations with other jw's?

how were the people who where on dateline viewed in your area, especially at the kingdom hall or by other jws?

I saw the last 10 minutes of the Dateline Program. An unbaptized sister that was my pal from my current congregation was very upset about it too!

The next week the letter was read concerning the Program. It never answered my questions: Why did we put the Catholics down for being pedophiles when we are too? Why are pedophiles allowed to go from door to door? (Can't they just do telephone witnessing and turn over any interested calls?) Why aren't the elders turning the pedophiles over to the authorities?

The talk seemed to sweep the WTBS responsibility to this issue under the rug! After all: you need a 2 person rule to turn in a pedophile (that's what the Bible says)

The program was downplayed by some other jw's saying: "they were apostates in that program anyway"...or "Jehovah will take care of the matter".

I know of some reg Jw's in another region of North America...that will not give the WTBS any donations till the child abuse issue is settled or accounted for.

I had a talk a few months ago with a regular going jw...still the same comment: Jehovah will take care of the matter. I did get this person to agree that pedophiles SHOULDN"T be allowed in the door to door work!

Guess What? I Got ANOTHER Visit From An Elder Today

today, an elder stopped by my work just to say hello and invite me to the memorial!

he asked me if the presiding overseer had called me yet because he and another elder were going to give me a call at home to set up a visit.

he said they (the elders) decided this on their elder's meeting last night.......so what do you think is going to happen when i tell them i'm not going to allow them to make a "shepherding" call???

Sunnygale: I have been fading since last June. I haven't received any shepherding visits. My husband has, and he quit going before me and I was attending many meetings without him.....

Fading can work out quite well!!!
