Disturbing phone call yesterday....

i would have posted this yesterday but for some reason it was unavailable.. i called one of my jw sisters, my turn to call.. a couple of months ago we all got together...hadn't seen any of them in 5 years.. well...she met my hubby and she said what he said was bothering her...i said: oh, i wasn't in the conversation what was it that bothered her....(my first mistake) seems like he brought up the un letter and something about what the real good news is.. she then started her hitler/nazi questions saying she is concerned about my spirituality....... i told her i have a relationship with jehovah and that is what matters...didn't stop her...i also told her i am a big girl and have taken care of my spirituality since i married the first time and left home.. i got off the subject by calling after my dog...and i was shaking the whole afternoon.. ya all know i am fading....geez...i wasn't prepared for this conversation...i am debating on telling her if she wants to continue a relationship with me then she needs to respect my spirituality and not question it...according to romans 14 where it says: each one has an accounting before god.

while i was married to husband #1 she never wanted to hear anything negative...so i had no support during that time and during my divorce as well.. she mentions she is concerned about my spirituality cause i don't talk about meetings or field service.

i would like to reinforce the fact that she doesn't like negative conversations, remind her of my marriage and divorce and after my divorce when i wanted to have an ear to listen to me, but she didn't...so since she set the rules of no negative comments that is why i chose not to talk about meetings or field service because they are negative>.

Exjdub: I think you are right about my sister. There must be a hidden reason...other than the religion issue. Your situation sounds a lot like what I am going thru...

Patio: I should have journaled it before calling her back last night....I will try to remember to do so in the future. Thanks for finding that site...I will check into it. I didn't handle the situation very well at all.

In fact, I only slept an hour last night.

Setbacks (LONG)

im having a tough time right now.seems my business is taking a hit.4 of my clients are for various reasons( moving, selling home,financial problems)are not using my services anymore (i usually have a waiting list).

i didnt realize just how important it is to me to be self sufficent.and because of these setbacks im having to turn to my other half to make up the difference.

i hate this!!!!.

Handing out your business card to everyone is a great idea.

Do your grocery stores have a bulletin board to post your card? Or laundromats?

Also, your present customers may be able to help you out. Tell them that if they can give you 3 contacts you will give them a percentage off if you get them as new customers...(referral program and benefits your existing clients while helping you to expand with new clients)

Here's hoping business will pick up soon for you.

going through a difficult time right now, we've been together 15 years now, no kids, shes a couple years older then me.

well...codeblue must be wearing her heart on her sleeve.. maybe it is because she has a heart and can't believe that one of her fleshly sisters has been so hateful to her (as on my last thread).. i shared the conversation with one of my neighbors.

tear were welling up in her eyes as i shared it.. i stopped her and said: i see tears in your eyes:.

she said: i just hate it when people are treated like that.

yes...good people are everywhere!!!

I had no car the last month before we relocated. My JW friend only made sure I got to her anniversary party. (How selfish is that?)

My so called "worldly nieghbors"...took a great interest in me. Also I worked part time, thanks to "worldly" co-workers that lived closeby to give me a lift....

That month taught me a lot as to who really is a true "neighbor" and "friend".

I am a little upset tonight...so nothing is working for me either...

I would love to turn off my brain....IF I could just stop thinking about stressful situations from the last 2 days...I think could SLEEP

Benadryl...2 of them????

She said: I just hate it when people are treated like that. You are a "gem" of a person, everybody in this neighborhood loves you....your sister must be jealous of you...

WOW...I am glad to get confirmation I am a good person...cause my fleshly sister sure didn't make me feel that way....

She then asked me if that is the par for JW's. (the treatment I received)

I said: well, before you get baptized you are shown huge love...then after IF you don't go to all the meetings and door to door (she knows what that means)...you can become marked and not get any socialization or acceptance.

What a contrast between my JW sister and my neighbor!!!

just moments ago i was on the back deck looking at the stars and a renter next door came out to do the same.

i said hello and we talked about where we were from and where we are at, spiritually.

after a few clues the neighbor asked if i had accepted jesus as my personal savior.

There ya go...why do people have to be so self righteous as to how you connect to god???

I know you well enough that you are connected to his son....

Geez...people are so petty...I wish they would get off their self-righteous horse and be HUMAN and show some real love for once.
