when i was in the truth, i remember how we were encouraged to cultivate a personal relationship with jehovah.
we were to think of him as our friend and to rely on him soley.

Yes, I have a personal relationship with Jehovah. Before fading and an active JW, he did answer my prayers. I still have a personal relationship with Jehovah...which is entirely different than having one with an organization..

i have a few doozies.. man, i lost count of the times they were hammering on "the slave"... obey the slave blah blah and "have faith in the organization.".

i just got back late monday with the boy after a week and a half (a few pics and possible rundown may follow, for those with insomnia).
the badger pup and i were getting ready to run some errands today when he chirped up.... "daddy, do you go to meetings?".
a toughie...the look in his eyes was pure curiosity.

a friend of mine was approached by a asian family living here in the u.s. that wants to get a family member, a 18 year girl living in the south east asia region here to america.
they want my friend to get married to this girl for a year or two so she can eventually become an american citizen.
the family living here has offered to pay for all expenses; my friends air ticket over there and back along with any other expenses incurred plus a lump sum payment upon her successful immigration here to the u.s. my friend is maybe considering it but he hasn't even seen a picture of the girl yet and he is somewhat older(about 9 year difference) than the girl.. now if they fall in love or consemate the relationship, that's totally up in the air and i guess open to bargaining and my friend would totally be free to get a divorce once the girl gets to the u.s. i did ask some of my friends what they thought, and everyone pretty much said no.
hmmmmmmmmmmm...it's gonna take longer than 2 years to complete that assignment of being a "permanent resident".
I know......I am an American woman and fell in love with a "hot" Canadian guy..........but he was already in the process of getting his TN Visa because he had a job in the States......
WE have been married 4 years...........the INS isn't playing games here. They want DEFINITE proof that you have a concrete, REAL marriage before that Permanent Resident CARD appears...WE know....my "hot" Canadian hubby just got approved for that card.........YAHOOOOO!!!
You can't fool the INS....

when i was a dub i use to get so mad trying to get in the national average of 10 hours a month.
i would work during the week then get 2 - 2.5 hours on sat for maybe 8 - 10 hours a month.
others like the elders would always be above that average and a lot of the time some of these elders would skip out on vacation or who knows what on half of the saturdays.

Also reading COC and ISOCF, you will find a lot of the "uppercrusts" didn't get much or any real "time" in...made it hard for their wives as well.

It helps me to understand why I am feeling the way I do.........I am fading, have been for a year....I have recently read both of Steve Hassan's books on mind control as well.
