by MicStroz ini was wondering just what the percentage would be on those who .
have left and at some point turn to another group or church.. i know from my own trials that i will never be a part of any.

Welcome!!!
I understand how you feel....a lot of people here have been thru a similiar experience. If you get the chance to meet some of the posters, please do!!! Me and Mr. CB have recently started doing that and have had a lot of fun and better yet: they are people that show "undconditional love"...

Welcome to the board Big Shooter!!!
Wow, your life story really pulled at my heart. You have went thru so much pain. The lack of love was so abundant in your life. You have come to the right place to receive the unconditional love that you so deserve.
Congratulations on your marriage and your child!!!

You have gotten a lot of great advice from many already. You are so sweet to be so kind to her. She really needs the support!
A few months ago, our neighbors lost their 12 year old dog, a mother, and their new house flooded.
We felt so bad for them....so besides telling them how bad we felt, we went to Costco and bought them a gift basket. Placed it on their porch with a card as well. They found it when they got home. (very suprised!)
Later they mailed us a card that said: "Thank you so much for the wonderful basket of goodies. And thanks, for advice on the water problem. We're lucky to have neighbors like you!"

I don't want a Tomb Stone. I want people to remember me "alive"....not at a grave.

Whats been your greatest personal Struggle?
by ScoobySnax inwhats been yours?
be honest.. i know mines always been trying to reconcile being gay and being jw.
as i was growing up it was like being in the middle of 2 polar opposites both tugging at me day in day out, sometimes trying to understand one whilst ignoring the other and vice versa.

Learning "how to pick up the pieces of my life" after the knowledge that for 37 years I was in a cult.
I keep asking myself: What do I want to do with my life now?

Welcome!!!
Congrats on the upcoming wedding!!
You have been given a lot of good advice how to help your finacee, especially since you have never been a JW. Sounds like you are very supportive of him, that is wonderful! I am glad you have shown him "unconditional love"...that is very important to us who have been in a religion that wasn't full of the love we expected.
Take good care of each other!!! Hope you have a wonderful wedding!!!
