What you just posted was very interesting to me. My first JW husband did the same thing to me...we were married 20 years and one time he had an affair with my best friend in the truth(tm)...He would be ok for a while and then "cheat" again.

The analogy of the WTBS lying to you was pretty good!

I was raised as a JW and lived it for 35 years (rather young when I started). So when I found this board, about a year ago and started reading COC....the level of anger rose for being "lied" too. When you find the real truth about the truth(tm) it spins a lot of emotions.

I think that when I dedicated myself it was to Jehovah and not to an organization...so I haven't had some of the anger that others have. After all, you can't blame God for imperfect men that are running a religion...(I blame the men!!!) As in the past, God will have a reckoning with those "shepherds" that didn't have pure motives in caring for the flock.

I can truly say that "time" does help and research also. If you live close enough to any poster from this board, I strongly recommend getting together. That also helps in the "healing" process.

FDS Sends Convention Delegates Packin'

jehovah's witness across north america are being sternly counseled at this week's service meeting that they should pack lunches during the 2004 dictrict convention instead of leaving the site to eat elsewere or return with food.

in a letter read during the announcements, members are told this is a "serious problem".

reportedly jws have been banned from some convention locations because the venues want concession stand business if jws insist on bringing carry-out meals into the facility.

Now I know why the conventions have been moved to the smaller cities and less conventions too!!!

I heard from a friend, that when he lived in Canada, it was quite common for people to bring WINE with their lunches....I started laughing about that and realized that's why a few years back, for convention reminders they said: DO NOT bring alcohol!!!

Have you ever sprain something ?

well, the day started okay.. sigh.

any one have a remedy for a twisted ankle?

it is swollen on the top and the arch is tender, as well as a few toes.

Yes....I sprained it when I was in 3rd grade...I foolishly jumped off the stage after getting my fall picture taken (all the other kids were jumping off, so I joined)

I felt pretty stupid as well....Went to the dr. and of course, not much of anything could be done. Ice packs really helped, to reduce the swelling and then he told me to walk on it as soon as possible!!! Yeah, right....

You have to remember that info was given to me 30 years ago!!!

Anyways...the only thing worse than a sprain is a broken bone....that hurts like heck!!!

A Little Down Tonight

now her husband, whom i am even closer to as i have known him longer is also going through a bad spell.

My first concert, after 30 years...

I never got to go to a concert while married to husband number 1...he said there was gonna be "pot" smoking going on. Funny thing, he could have affairs on me...hmmmm...affairs or pot?...HOW STUPID.

So, when I married NOdenial...I finally got to go to a REAL concert.....and saw even heavy metal bands play at a music festival (mosh pit and all)...I laughed my head off....

Hope you get to go to more....especially if you love music...

So glad to hear you have a woman that wants you to have fun too....she rocks!
